In Lieu of a Honeymoon...
Tom sat cross legged on the grass----okay, maybe not. He sat cross legged on holographic grass, complete with a holographic breeze and holographic birds. What wasn't holographic was the food. Tom had a huge blanket strewn over the grass, with various bowl and containers of food, a couple different offerings of non alcoholic drinks. Tom certainly wasn't going to drink if B'Elanna couldn't. He wasn't sure how long they'd have the holodeck, and opted for a shorter scenario, with the possibility of adding in some other programs he'd created later. If no one kicked them out.
Relaxing in the grass in a blue shirt, pants and comm badge, he made a some final tweaks to the program.
"Computer, raise the temperature 2 degrees and give me a bouquet of a dozen red roses. Long stemmed." Perfect, now he just had to wait for B'Elanna to arrive.

She grabbed her comm badge, pinning on as she walked. The doors to the holodeck opened, and she stepped inside.
"What is all this?"
no subject
"I thought about 1930's Italy, but I wasn't sure how long we had the holodeck for." He smiled, giving his wife a kiss before presenting the roses. "Because I love you. Thorns and all."
no subject
"I love you... you know that right?"
no subject
He leaned forward, giving her a soft kiss on her cheek, before motioning to the spread. "So, what can I get you?"

"What do you mean stages?" She asked, as she picked at the fruit.

"I won't if you tell me what's going on?"
no subject
Tom stopped, biting his lip, realizing that it in fact wasn't ringing any bells for B'Elanna. "You're not pregnant." Dammit, his face fell a little.
no subject
But then the look on his face, she wanted to be pregnant, so badly for her husband, and herself, because it sounded like something they both wanted.
"I'm not, I'm sorry," She said softly, moving into his arms.
no subject
So, Tom's bravado won out, sneaking and snarking out of his mouth to hide his disappointment. "Wanna practice?"
no subject
She let him however think that she didn't know that he was upset or disappointed. She would have to think about that later.
"With you? or did you have another wife in mind?"
no subject
Tom lay down, propping himself up on one elbow. He remembered how B'Elanna reacted when she found out her daughter was going to look Klingon. If she wasn't pregnant, she hadn't gone through that yet.
"Are you alright? You weren't exactly comfortable at first. I know how hard your childhood was on you."
no subject
Her face was tight and hard, but it wasn't directed at Tom. "I told you about him?"
She was honestly surprised by this, as she didn't talk about things like this with anyone.
no subject
"You did. And I know it wasn't easy."
no subject
"I'd rather be imperfect together, than alone."
no subject
"What do you think? Being back in the alpha quadrant?" Truthfully, Tom wanted to go back home. To Voyager. In the Delta Quadrant.
