"I don't worry too much about the art," she says. "I've been drawing all my life, and for years when I got bored I'd take out markers and draw on people. That's one of the things a lot of people have a hard time adjusting to--drawing on a curved surface like skin is really different from drawing on paper. You get a feel for how you have to change things, where you need to put them, to have it so they don't look all distorted. But I already had that, so my biggest thing was just not wanting to hurt people. Tattoos hurt, and some places hurt more. You hurt people, they're more likely to squirm, and then your lines get crooked."
