Khan closes the distance between them, only halting just out of reach. His gaze rests, briefly, on the communicator in Kirk's hand, but it's not nearly enough to to dissaude him. Not now. He could tear through this ship's pathetic security in less time than it would take them to alert the rest of the ship.

"I think we both know what would happen." They had, after all, played this game before - on the bridge of the Vengeance. Kirk hadn't fared so well.

(But in the end, neither had Khan.)
