Magic was not a thing Aeryn had much experience with before her separation from The Peacekeepers. It existed, but it was not something to think about much, and for the most part it belonged to subjugated races, without causing too many even greater problems. But she could appreciate it in the most gruesome sense without any emotional reaction in it or to it.
