Veena is smarter than other cats. She'll let him pick her up and then scramble to sit on his shoulders.

He's got nicer shoulders than Trever's. Much broader. Easier to sit on than Trever's skinnier ones. She can see EVERYTHING from up here. There's a brief moment when she does the kitty equivalent of ' wondering how to get shiny arm guy with good shoulders to sit on to follow human around everywhere' but it's a very short moment as she then tries to stand on his head.
