John tells the story easily enough, right up until her death. He covers Ellia's death hastily. "She was a good kid," he finishes lamely and shakes his head. "I don't know what she had on her teeth, because things got pretty weird after the bite." He hesitates. Would elaborating give Todd too much of a hold over him?
