As a doctor, Beverly is always calm because she needs to be. Cases like this, where the patient is obviously distressed, require a calm and collected head. If she hadn't known that earlier, living in Zelien really drove that home. Help comes in many forms. With Beverly around, it comes calmly.

"Come on over here and let me take a look at you." She's been hearing some strange things lately and her immediate suspicion is that Q is up to his normal games. Picking up a tricorder, she moves to give him another scan, to see if his records have changed at all since his arrival.

"What else have you noticed?" she asks while she works, mostly to keep him busy, occupied but in a constructive way, so that he relaxes and doesn't, intentionally or otherwise, make things difficult for her.
