Given the importance of blood to Ailyshia's rituals, Minoru thought that perhaps summoning jutsu may have an equivalent in their world.

"The world I come from, and several others I've been to, have relationships with the sacred animals. People sign contracts with a particular animal, and the animals then assist them when they're called for." he explained, holding up his left wrist. "Unclemaru turned his copy of the contract into a seal, so I had mine done that way too."

It was just like what he did in the arboretum. He bit his thumb until it drew blood, traced a line down the front of his tattoo, focused his chakra and a snake appeared at his feet.

This one was a little feisty for his demonstration, though, and slithered right up his leg, up his pants and out the top of his tunic.

"All right, all right..." Minoru laughed as he was tickled. "Tell Manda I said hi back!"
