Peter knows a thing or two about wandering. Only, he's decided that wandering the halls by floor is a little ... well, 'mainstream'.
He prefers the ceilings.
And besides which, he's started to feel antsy (because 'spidery' doesn't quite work), trapped on a ship when he'd much rather be freely webslinging the skyscrapers of Manhattan. This is the closest he can come to being Spider-Man for a little bit.
He's been careful about it too. The halls are thankfully empty most of the time, and when they aren't, his spidey senses warn him of anyone approaching.
