Ian watched, fascinated and mumbled, "It goes through clothes," once she'd given him the vaccination. He was going to have to learn more about it, although realised this was not the best time to ask.

He shook his head in response to her question. "If he did, I wasn't there. I just asked and woke up with it. They weren't really open to questions." He'd tried, they all had, it just didn't get them very far.
