The good doctor does her best to be reassuring. It wasn't so long ago that Wesley was this age, and she was just as frazzled and nervous during his pediatrician visits.

"All maladies we have since eradicated," she says, helping to get them settled on the biobed. "It's all right, my tricorder should tell me everything I need to know. But please, do tell me if either of you have a history of illness."
