The reading never changed. Perhaps the kid came that way, just like the aliens did. But he couldn't just let the kid leave without one last test.

"Sit up for me, we've got to do one last reading." He grabbed a device which placed a pad straight onto the face, allowing him to read more mental and energy based scans. He wasn't interested in the mental - it was the energy he was more concerned with. He needed more details, needed to make sure the kid wasn't a threat.

But he shot Andros a sad look. No parents? That wasn't a way to live. "Yeah, six years. What the h... look, it's not any of my business and you can tell me to piss off if you want, but why are you taking care of yourself?"

He paused, looking down at the scanner. "Yeah, they're healed up." He paused again, glancing at him again. "Space is always dangerous. We don't know where we are, where we're going, or what's out there. And if an anomaly is powerful enough to pull all these people on a secure ship, why wouldn't something be capable of attacking the ship or the people on it? Just... be careful. These machines can do a lot, but they can't bring back the dead."
