The internet, so helpful. OTA
Who: Peggy Carter and OTA
What: Reviewing history isn't for the faint of heart.
Where: Classrooms
When: First of December
Status: Open
Rating: PG-13
Class rooms
There was a lot of history to catch up with, so much had changed since the post war era. If this was a world in which she would be living it behooved her to know the history of it. Earth history was rather thoroughly documented in the records on board Enterprise. However there was no mention of Steve or the SSR or anything. Not even a whisper about Howard, though there was another genius inventor name Howard Hughes. He sounded like Stark only less flamboyant. And he met a rather bad end it seemed. So where was all the history of her world?
While she was perusing the archives it was suggested to her that she might always want to check the Holodeck for additional resources, she made a note to try that after and settled in to a volume on something called The McCarthy era.

The real question is was this woman expecting to be interrupted by someone who looked quite like... this.

"And your people," As she was clearly different though Peggy hadn't reacted with any malice or fear, no reason given to do so yet. "Are they long in spacefaring?"

"And when you get new markets, you get more and more development. It only gets faster." Marvelous thing, capitalism. It had served them well. Their biggest problems had come from being blind to making proper use of things.

"And you trade with other races? That must be fascinating."

"Your people, Ferengi seem to have done quite a great deal of exploration in the course of trading."

"Rule of Acquisition number 75. Home is where the heart is, but the stars are made of latinum." She shakes her head. "Of course it's only in the few years difference that females have been allowed off world."

"These rules of acquisition you mention, are they the laws of your people?" They were varied and frankly interesting, they seemed so open to interpretation.
no subject
"They're not laws, they're business guidelines." Which was much more fundamental to Ferengi than any mere law. "Some work better than others, even if some of the old members of the Commerce Authority might argue with me on that." Had.
