Arrival -Locked and OTA-
Locked to Dr. Crusher
In a moment, perhaps for some, of deja vu, a red haired man appears in ten forward right near the door.
"But who else is going to talk to the unicorns?" he said before realizing that he's no longer where he was a moment ago. A severe case of vertigo takes him as his body suddenly catches up with the mind and notices that it's no longer tied to the land he came from. That he's no longer connected to his world's ley-lines and to Eire itself.
It disapproves of this greatly.
And after wobbling a moment he drops to the floor as everything spins around in unfun ways.
Later - OTA
It seems like Trever is sitting with a somewhat bemused expression on his face in Ten Forward. He's watching everything, completely and utterly fascinated like he's never seen it before - a cup of tea next to him. His hands are being kept busy by idly fiddling around with some little device, moving parts around. Though not looking at what he's doing, his hands seem to know what to do.
For those who are good at noticing things, they'll see that there are a few things different about him:
A. There is no sign of his ubiquitous cat. Anywhere at all.
B. He's wearing gloves.
C. He's playing with electronics which is not something he's shown any sort of inclination towards before.

The unicorn reference catches her attention first. Next? It's the way Trever drops to the floor again, almost like he must have when he first turned up on the ship.
Beverly hadn't really been far into Ten Forward when she'd heard the voice, hadn't even made it to a replicator this time luckily, so she doesn't have anything to abandon as she heads straight towards the prone form.
"Trever?" she calls, a slight strain to her voice being the only sign that everything is very far from okay. "It's Beverly. Can you hear me?"
She'll notice the lack of cat in about a minute, once she's assured that he isn't really, seriously hurt.
no subject
He hasn't quite registered that she called him Trever yet. Then again, he hasn't quite registered much just yet.
But he doesn't seem to be seriously hurt and in less shock than his brother was. Third in line to the throne makes him less tied to the land than his brother was; also his own abilities are less tied to nature in general.
So his eyes start to focus quicker.

"If I have to cart you off to sickbay for the second time in a month," she says, letting her teasing warning trail off as she watches him. "Are you sure this isn't something I should be more worried about?"
no subject
He blinks a bit and the fact that he wasn't where he was a moment ago finally kicks in. "What in the Morrigan's name?" he asked, completely baffled. "Where am I?"
no subject
"Trever?" she asks slowly and gently. "You're on the Enterprise. Do you know who I am?"
no subject
Trever appears to have forgotten to mention the existence of an identical twin.
no subject
"Brother?" Twin brother that he hasn't mentioned. Add that to the list of things she needs to talk to Trever about. "My name is Beverly Crusher. If you aren't Trever, then who are you?"
She may address Trever being here later.
no subject
It's not Trever's fault! It just never really came up.
"Yeah. Twin. I'm Kale," he said and blinked at her a few times. "Hi. How do you know Trever?"
no subject
"He's here," she answers. "Arrived last month. His cat is with him, too, in case you wondered." Veena has taken a liking to Beverly. She is a cat person, after all. "You'll probably find him in Ten Forward, the lounge, but... I may need to take you down to sickbay first."
no subject
"Sickbay... why?"

But right now, that applies to just about everyone, and he knows he needs to start to meet some people. So after that brief indulgence in his hesitation, he takes a deep breath and moves over to the table.
"Um...hello! I'm Will. Is...this seat taken?"
no subject
"Hey, I'm Kale. And sure."
no subject
"Good to meet you, Kale. Um. Do you mind if I ask what it is you're working on?" He points at the device, his expression alive with curiosity.
no subject
He moves his hands so that Will could see exactly what he was working on. It's about the size of a matchbox with six legs. Kale was working on the insides. So, yes. it does look like a little bug.
It's also the other sort of bug.
But Kale's not going to mention that one.

Perhaps not exactly how Will expects. But, magic is useful that way.

Because, really, how could he not?
"It was... I did design work for the military. Got out about a year ago. I was thinking about re-enlisting but something else came up."
no subject
At Kale's career explanation, he nods, smiling at the common ground he's found. "I work for the military as well! W-well, a military organisation, at least." He pauses for a beat. "Well. I'm not actually a soldier myself--but I do work for them!"

He bounced over the back of the chair, landing squarely in the seat in front of Kale.
"Hey there." He smiled politely, and then pointed to the strange device in Kale's hand. "What's that?"
no subject
"It's going to be a robotic bug." Both the moving kind and the sneaky, spying kind.
no subject
Of course, as soon as he introduced himself, he was back to staring at the little device in Kale's hands. He'd never seen anything like it. He'd never seen anything like anything here, actually. All the industrial worlds he'd appeared on had lots of metal parts, but they were mostly attached to the ground. This 'Enterprise' as they called it, was flying through the stars!
no subject
He holds out a gloved hand to shake.
"I'm new here too."
no subject
"They said this Enterprise ship travels between a lot of worlds." He had no idea, at this point, how may people boarded it to travel and how many had simply found themselves here randomly. Appearing in a random world without a clue where he was going or what he was supposed to be doing was normal to Minoru! "...Are you on your way home? Going somewhere exciting?"
