[ HOLODECK ]
One of the holodecks has been in constant use by one person for the last 6 hours, 21 minutes, and 16 seconds. Should anyone venture inside (as Lal isn't answering any communications from the computer), they would walk right into this. An oddly lit room, where a rather detestable man is attended to by beautiful women who all look exactly the same. Rather than actually interacting with the scene, Lal is sitting off to the side, cross-legged on the floor. She's simply a casual observer, though her face seems to express that she's still mildly disturbed by it.
"I think I understand why you abandoned him, at least." She utters softly to the closest Alice. Who knows if it's her Alice or not. It's not like it matters anyway. The scene plays on as if she weren't even there.
[ OUTSIDE THE RESIDENT STAR-LORD'S QUARTERS ] ( currently locked for
partofaplan )
It's not weird to call on a friend. People do it all the time.
That's what she's telling herself anyway. In all honesty, it feels slightly weird. Maybe it's because she didn't really have a whole lot of friends back on Orion. At least, not outside of casual encounters at clubs or coffee bars. Or maybe it's the weird feeling in the pit of where her stomach would be when she thinks about him. It almost makes her feel like she has an ulterior motive, or something.
But that's not it. You want to see people because you like them. Regardless of how you like them.
Right? Right.
So here she is, internally arguing with herself, before one of her subroutines kicks in. A jolt of courage, and she steps forward to activate the sensor for the door chime.
