[Counselor's Offices]: Round Two Counseling Sessions

You'll find the Counseling Offices, and it's Counseling Staff run by Counselor Troi, located on Deck 8. A message which has been passed along to the new arrivals and those who've been here for longer several times. From their first appointments in sickbay after arrival up to the newest happenstances since then, which continue to lead to a greater need.
For those entering for the first time, you find these offices are of subdued, calming green walls with equally unobtrusive light purple furniture, and gentle ambient light. Each of the rooms has an assortment of chairs, tables, and even a snaking reclining couch, which may be used for sitting or laying down on as you feel called.
Nothing to worry about and no pressure from the moment you walk in.
They're here to help as best they can.
[ooc: Counseling Sessions are, as will be always, OTA and open for backtagging! Like the Sickbay posts, you can expect one of these every month, so no stressing if you can't make one, we'll be back next month.
For new characters/players: tagging and counseling is NOT mandatory. Deanna Troi is acting as head of the Counseling Staff, but all staff are available to you. If you have prearranged to be meeting with a specific counselor, tag in specifying which counselor are requesting in the subject line, otherwise one will leap at you as they are available. All your information and questions about the Counseling Staff can be found here.
Sam Wilson!!!
A long, tiring week when he knows it shouldn't have been tiring because he hasn't been doing anything, really. He's been too numb, too distracted in his thoughts. Too sleepy, and it's taken too much effort for him to do anything much without encouragement.
He'd made the appointment to see Sam only because Annie had insisted. He'd promised he'd try, and she'd told him how, and he'd done it, because she'd asked him to. He still doesn't understand what anyone thinks this will do to help him, but Annie thinks it's worth trying, and ... he'll try, for her sake.
Besides, he knows Sam Wilson, a little, and he'd been able to ask to see him, instead of someone he doesn't know. Sam had been kind when Finnick had been in a state of despair. And he'd seemed, to some extent, to understand.
So Finnick's there, on time for his appointment. His hair looks a little rumpled, and his only concession to his usual makeup is a hint of eyeliner that does little to hide how tired his eyes look.
There's a piece of rope in his hands that he's fiddling with, tying and untying knots, and his attention seems very intent on it. It's something to focus on other than nervousness.
Paging Emma Frost!

deanna troi!
So today sees her a little more exhausted, a little more worried. Overall, she looks better, like she's eating well, she's busy, she isn't worried about what's going to kill her when she turns around. But nightmares are deadly things themselves and they're wearing on her.
That and her worry for Annie and Finnick, as Deanna can probably guess at by now, considering recent events.
Beverly waits with her tumultuous thoughts and emotions swirling around. When it's her turn, she will rise with a tight but genuine smile and move where directed. "Hi," she offers, like that one word can say everything she needs to say. With Deanna, it probably can.
Alex Rogan for anyone, thank you!
So, here he was, nervously sitting in the are, waiting for whomever would be assigned to him. or who came to see who this geeky yougish-middle aged man was.
In the meantime, he pulled out a PADD and started reading more about Enterprise 1701's specs.

For Deanna Troi! Or anyone else with empathic/telepathic abilities!
And so, he found himself standing just within the door, PADD clutched in long fingers as he tried to decide on whether to stay or not. He hadn't set an official appointment and didn't even know if he was even welcome. Nervous apprehension was ever constant in the at times twitchy ex-lab experiment. Though there was curiousity too. Despite all that had happened, the ship held an endless curiousity for him with its many marvels and technology.
((ooc: DJ will probably be a regular at the counselling offices! Here is his navigation post with all his info if you are curious. :) In a nut shell, he's mute from trauma (though he can talk), and he's an empath and touch telepath (though he doesn't understand his abilities nor has he accepted them). Permissions are linked in the navigation!))

Hugh Cambridge
The dancing had helped. A little. But possibly more to the point, Hugh Cambridge had been careful in his way. Created a partner for her, and then changed it to a ridiculous, animated stick-figure when the holographic man had seemed too real. All without treating her wariness as something to mock. Something that was wrong, yes, but then, she knows it's wrong.
(Or at least, that she takes it too far. Her normal, as in normal from her world, seems to be set on a higher wariness setting that the Federation citizens have.)
On the day of her appointment, Annie takes care to make sure her clothes are neat. Buttons on her peach waistcoat done up, her jacket straight, belt fitting around her waist, trousers not tangled with the laces of her boots), her hair is in a tidy braid instead of a messy one, the necklace Finnick had made her is straight (although the true love's knot shifts as she walks.)
And she makes sure she's on time. A little early, even.
She's nervous. Early helps. It gives her time to think, which is never a good thing when she's nervous, but at least no one is waiting on her. That can be worse.
