[Counselor's Offices]: Round Two Counseling Sessions

You'll find the Counseling Offices, and it's Counseling Staff run by Counselor Troi, located on Deck 8. A message which has been passed along to the new arrivals and those who've been here for longer several times. From their first appointments in sickbay after arrival up to the newest happenstances since then, which continue to lead to a greater need.

For those entering for the first time, you find these offices are of subdued, calming green walls with equally unobtrusive light purple furniture, and gentle ambient light. Each of the rooms has an assortment of chairs, tables, and even a snaking reclining couch, which may be used for sitting or laying down on as you feel called.

Nothing to worry about and no pressure from the moment you walk in.

They're here to help as best they can.

[ooc: Counseling Sessions are, as will be always, OTA and open for backtagging! Like the Sickbay posts, you can expect one of these every month, so no stressing if you can't make one, we'll be back next month.

For new characters/players: tagging and counseling is NOT mandatory. Deanna Troi is acting as head of the Counseling Staff, but all staff are available to you. If you have prearranged to be meeting with a specific counselor, tag in specifying which counselor are requesting in the subject line, otherwise one will leap at you as they are available. All the 'ma'am's were going to go to her head, she could already tell. She smiled at Alex and motioned toward her door. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Rogan. How are you doing today?"

"You too."

He smiled as he stepped into and through the door, glancing around. "I'm doing good. So far, this place is pretty cool."

His cheerfulness pleased Emma. It was a nice change. "Please have a seat where ever you like. What brings you in today?"

Alex settled to a couch and then opened his mouth, closed it, and then shrugged.

"Ah well, as to that... people thought maybe I should see someone because of my situation." he paused, then nodded. "I, ah, unlike most people here, it might be the case that I wasn't brought by Q. I was a starfighter pilot in my time, recruited to defend the edge of the galaxy by an alien league of planets. Several years later, I was testing a prototype and it went out of control."

The memories flowed and his words did too. "The emergency systems activated and i was frozen in stasis for 300 years until my s.o.s. was detected by the Enterprise. Now I'm here, 300 years out of date."

Emma listened, her attention completely on Alex. "That sounds difficult to deal with. Do you think you need to see me?" She wondered how he felt about all of this. Being so far away from family and friends was a terrible fate.

"Well. it's confusing sometimes, and it's very weird to be here. But mostly, I like being here." Alex smiled at her. "I don't know that I feel the need to be here, but at the same time, it makes sense to be sure, right?"

He shook his head.

"I agree, it does make sense to be sure." Emma said, nodding her head. "Do you miss your own time?"

Alex shook his head, then paused. "I miss people, but not the time itself. I miss my mom, and my brother, and Grig, my partner in flying and running things. " Alex chuckled, remembering some of those times.

"But the time? No. Truth to tell, at the end, I was bored, and not really fitting in, anymore."

Emma considered all of that, then nodded, leaning back in her seat. "It really does sound like you were well prepared for your accidental time travel. Have you been feeling down or depressed?"

[1st_starfighter]

Alex shook his head. "Not really? Sometimes, I miss my mom, and my brother, and not being able to see them again. But... It might have been years before I saw them."

Alex shook his head again. I'm not sure if I should be more depressed about it, but I guess I'm just not."

"Typically people come here because they're too depressed, but repressed emotions can still be problematic."

She leaned back a bit, considering what her next move should be. "Why don't you tell me about your family?"

[1st_starfighter]

"I suppose so." He had no idea what that meant.

He considered her words, then nodded. "Sure. I can do that." He leaned forward as he started to tell her about his mom, his dad, and his brother...
