Intro-ish Post (With Options)
This Doctor had been getting settled in on board the Enterprise - well as much as he can. He still baulks at the jabs he had to be given, but since they didn't contain anything that was harmful to him, he allowed for them.
Now, he has an agenda. He knows the TARDIS is somewhere on board and now that he has a map and listings, he's going to go there to find it.
The Doctor is making his way down to the cargo hold, but going about it the long way around. May as well investigate the ship on his way. If he can get to the TARDIS, he won't be staying long anyway, so he might as well explore something new as he goes along.
It's all terribly human. Basic, really. And they think it's the best thing. About the only thing he's really interested in is this Q character. He doesn't mind humans most of the time. He just doesn't like being 'stuck' with them. And there's so much humanity here - with nothing to escape it.
B: TARDIS Cargo hold Plot: Open To All
After his adventure with Trever and his cat, the Doctor finally arrives at the cargo hold that is marked as containing the TARDIS. He sonics his way in (whether or not that was necessary) and looks around. Some of the items look familiar and others seem alien - even to him - which is saying something. It isn't long before he sees the TARDIS, standing there in all her glory. He confidently strides towards her. When he gets there, he gives a loving stroke to her. "Hello, Old Girl. Now, let's see about getting out of here."
The Doctor needed to vent his anger and frustration at not being able to get back to his own universe. So he made his way to the training room. He had told Clara he had cheated against Robin Hood with his archery skills. But that doesn't mean he's positively rubbish at it. He just wasn't sure of his aim at a ship with rotating bits. If he were to be perfectly honest, which he rarely is, he just needs a bit of practice. He was disappointed that he couldn't get into the Armoury, so he would have to make-do with one of the holodecks. Pity. It's never quite as good as the real thing. Now, if only someone else with archery skills were around. Nothing like a little bit of friendly competition when it comes to brushing up on skills.
{{OOC: I'm happy to backtag however long people are interested in playing with these plots.}}

"The only people who seem to know anything useful, we can't get ready access to..."
He pauses in thought. "But the question is: do we need that? I get the feeling Q and I have a lot in common. Which means, getting his attention, should be easy enough."
Now he's pacing. Anger sometimes kicks his brain into gear. "We already know everything we need to. So what do we know? One: he doesn't intend to harm or kill us. At least not yet. So, you are an all-powerful creature, able to prevent reality from collapsing as different universes intermix. Why would you do that? Why bring them together in the first place?"
no subject
"He could have brought us out of boredom, which is plausible but probably not the actual reason. No, he probably has some greater plan at play than to simply bring us here and watch us try to make our way here. Which means he has plans for us, or perhaps more importantly, plans for those in charge that just happen to involve us. Leaving us with already having his attention. It is a matter of making enough of a threat towards him or the disruption of his plans to achieve that more personal and direct link to him."
After all, didn't all villains like to boast now and then? Didn't they feel the need to flaunt their plan and how no one could possibly ruin it? What was the point of making this show of power, but remaining distant after all?
Helena herself wasn't actually wanting to return to her home world, but she had to say that Q needed to be confronted and drawn out of whatever hiding place he was in.

"So, two options then: either we're brought here for entertainment or we're placed here to test this specific ship and crew. Either way, he thinks he's in charge. But there's one big difference."
They are. They have all the control they need.
"Whether for entertainment for for testing, we're the most importing thing here. All of us. The entire ship. So, what happens if we were taken out of the picture? Do you think that would get his attention?"
Because if there's one thing the Doctor is good at, it's making noise.
no subject
"I think that would more than get his attention. Though taking us out of the picture is the tricky part. Unless the ship is docked, we're traveling through space." She paused momentarily as she thought a moment. "Though commandeering some shuttle craft or whatever may be available in the dock of this ship may be our best bet. Spreading our numbers out would certainly give Q reason to come to us."
And then another thought occurred to her. "Though considering he brought us to this ship specifically, what if he has tied us to it with some invisible boundary we cannot cross or some invisible tether that will pull us back here? The last realm I was in, if we strayed too far from the device that brought us there, it would automatically transport us back to it. Q might have a similar method built in if we try to get too far from this ship."
no subject
"I was thinking of something a little more dramatic. He sees himself as a god, so a few puny humans would hardly get his attention. And, as you say, we might have to stay with the ship...."
So, what other option is there? He's not going to say it yet. He wants to see how far Helena will push this. Is she as mad as he?

Helena wasn't one to back down from danger. Her job with the Warehouse had been danger on a daily basis. So, of course, something popped into her head.
"Then something a little more attainable to us, and something that might actually make him come to us. Taking control of this ship, for example." Whether or not that was something that he'd thought of remained to be seen. But if there was no other way that could assure Q showing himself, Helena was certain a number of them forcing their way to wherever the controls for flying this ship were and taking control would certainly do it.

Have a manic grin.
"Though, doesn't have to be drastic. We would need a few key people to know, to be aware of our plan. Just not everyone. For instance, if we could get the Captain or the First Officer involved, but not anyone else, that would give us enough latitude to take over, but still have someone on our side to not end up in the Brig."
ooc: Sorry for the latness holidays were crazy and I've had the Cold of Death since Christmas
No worries! Hope you feel better soon.
Though, usually his list involves becoming the leader and taking over the whole operation until the danger has passed.
I can think today, at least, so I'm taking that as a win.
"The ship's computer I think can tell us who's who in the crew." Helena didn't think that sort of information would be confidential or off-limits to those not native to this universe. After all, what if they needed to talk to a specific officer? How else would they be able to contact them quickly?
I agree XD
"The PADDs. Excellent idea. It will take time, but it's a start. At least it's a plan."
He can survive anything as long as he has a plan.

"And with any luck, whomever we get on our side may be willing to share information that they may otherwise be withholding." It seemed a fair trade to Helena, they stage a coup to help get Q to physically show himself, proving that they are willing to do what they can to get to Q, perhaps they could get more information in return.
no subject
Huge compliment coming from him. He doesn't say that often.
no subject
"Perhaps I shall take my leave. Don't want Q to get any ideas before we're ready to move," she quipped.
no subject
"Are you suggesting that he can monitor us? Even if he's not here?"
Because that would be problematic and yet vital for him to know.
no subject
Though clearly Q had to keep tabs on them somehow and to some degree. It only made sense to her.
no subject
"Okay. So, that is really the first thing we need to figure out. Because this plan won't work if he knows it's going to happen."
Which means waiting. He hates waiting.
no subject
"Or there's a quicker way. I am not a computer hacker, but it would stand to reason there could be restricted files on him in the ship's computer archives?" This was where Helena wished Claudia was here. She'd undoubtedly figure out how to hack into the Enterprise's computer in no time.
no subject
And hacking will keep him busy for a but.
