Chris stared at the animal, trying to figure out if it actually was an animal, a screwed up demonic joke, or someone's familiar.

"How'd you get in here? I didn't think animals were allowed in hospitals." Chris inquired quietly to the little black cat. Then Chris blinked, focusing his gaze upward as he heard jingling.
