A Stabbing Is Not An Appropriate Birthday Present
Sickbay: [for Carson so our little whitelighter doesn't die.]
Chris ran toward the playpen. Gideon had vanished, no doubt staying invisible until he could make a move on Wyatt. He had to get the toddler out of here, or else all of his hard work was going to be for nothing. The trauma of Gideon's attempt to pierce his shield and kill him would turn him evil. And then, Chris's future was doomed. Well, it was already pretty much doomed. The world was a mess and his Wyatt wanted to kill Chris since his little brother didn't want to play 'take over the world' with him.
The Whitelighter-Witch ran, but was only able to take a handful of steps before Gideon materialized, his knife sinking in his abdomen. He watched the elder walk over and pick up his big little brother(time travel was so confusing) and orb away.
Chris fell the the attic floor, calling for his father, the older Whitelighter to help heal him, and go after Wyatt. He closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them, Chris was still on the floor.
But not the floor of the Halliwell Manor. But the Book was next to him. An old book, quite thick.
He tried to get up. Nope, that wasn't going to happen. Chris tried to orb back to the manor, so his father could get to him. Instead, the Whitelighter-Witch just dematerialized in a flash of blue and white lights, and then materialized again in the same place.
"Anyone have a bandaid?"
[Sickbay: After the funtimez that is emergency surgery, OPEN]
Chris sat up in bed and looked around, for the first time getting a good handle on his surroundings. The Halliwell's Book of Shadow's was beside him. Good. At least no one had tried to walk away with it while he was unconscious.
This was.....not like any hospital he'd ever seen before. And it wasn't the Manor, Magic School or any plane he was familiar with. So...how did he get here? Did Gideon orb him here so he wouldn't be able to help Wyatt? Focusing for a minute, his eyes widened in alarm. Definitely a different plane. He couldn't feel his Mom and his Aunts. Or Leo. He had to hope that Leo would get to Wyatt. Save him. Chris would just have to get back as soon as he could. Well, bright side at least he wouldn't be in the same reality when he was born? Which was any minute now.
"I don't mean to be rude, but I can't be here right now."

"I don't mean to be rude, but I can't be here right now."

"How'd you get in here? I didn't think animals were allowed in hospitals." Chris inquired quietly to the little black cat. Then Chris blinked, focusing his gaze upward as he heard jingling.
Was someone calling him? Not only does he get kidnapped but he gets charges to take are of? Talk about not fair.
Well, whoever they were they could wait until he was actually allowed to leave this hospital area.

She's is someone's familiar.
But mostly she is a cat. She bops him on the nose again.
"Yes, but when did that ever stop a cat if she didn't want it to stop her?" Trever said, coming over Chris. He'd been doing some basic learning of things in Sickbay since Dr. Crusher said he could learn nurse like things and be helpful.
no subject
"I'm Chris by the way. If my name isn't on the chart."
no subject
"I am not a doctor here, though they're letting me train as a nurse. And yes, I'm one of the unfortunately abducted ones. You can usually tell who hasn't been abducted because they're wearing those uniforms." Trever wouldn't be caught dead in one of those.
Except when he's trying to pass himself off as a member of the crew. But otherwise, he prefers his jeans and tee-shirts.
"I'm Trever. Her name is Veena."
Yet another bop. She seems to be liking this bopping thing.
no subject
Chris was a jean and tee-shirt kind of guy too. Sometimes he went wild and branched out into hoodies. Although one thing was for sure. Whatever reality this was? Couldn't be demonic. No demon would be caught wearing those. Yup. That was totally his super whitelighter-witch assessment. His family would be so proud.
Chris tried to remove himself from the cat as she bopped him again. Seriously, what was with her?
no subject
Staring at Trever, Veena very deliberately bopped Chris on the nose one last time and then curled up on his feet.
"I'm sorry about that. She says you smell funny."
no subject
"You have magic? Which is unusual for this place, which doesnt." Chris repeated, trying to sum up what he had just heard. "You're my Charge? Alright. Lay it on me. What kind of magic do you have? And what are you? Witch? Fairy? I assume that's either not a cat or you can talk to animals?"
The whitelighter-witch glared at Veena. "I do not smell funny. Can she smell magic?"
no subject
"Yes, I have magic. I'm most certainly not one of the fey." His family got kicked out of fairy ages ago and they've no intention of letting them back in. "I'm human. I'm a prince of Eire. I can talk to animals and I've got land ties... not that it does me much good here."
Trever doesn't see any reason to hide his powers. After all, they're documented for the public to see. He's got one or two other things, but he needs to keep a bit of an edge.
"And yes, she can ... well... she can usually tell if people aren't fully human. She can't tell me what sort of thing they might be. She's not that bright. But she knows if they're not human."
no subject
"Look. I'm you're Whitelighter whether you like it or not. Whether I like it or not. Which, just to get out in the open, I don't. I have more pressing concerns right now than looking after you. Like figuring out how to get out of here. So try not to get yourself into trouble or killed. "
Chris winced as he talked to the little cat. "She lets you call her that? I'm surprised she hasn't peed on your head by now."
no subject
Now admittedly his Aunt Una recently kidnapped a young fairy lord who was crazy enough to fall in love with her, but that's a rare circumstance.
"I have absolutely no fucking clue what a lightbrighter is, I don't need someone to look out for me, and if you manage to figure out how to get out of here you best be taking everyone else with you or I will make you regret it."
Yes. He did just threaten Chris with bodily harm.
"We have an arrangement."
no subject
Chris wrinkled his nose at his Charge. "Has anyone told you that you've got a real attitude? And coming from me and my family, that's saying something. " Was it terribly against the rules to turn a Charge into a rat?Just for a few hours? Maybe he'd get Trever a little wheel to run around.
no subject
Though when he says Trever has an attitude problem, that actual gets a pleased smirk. "I'm a McCallum. Pissing deities and other powerful people is our job."
no subject
And in front of Trevor was a Whitelighter-Witch slow clapping in a hospital gown.
no subject
As Trever snaps out those last words Veena starts doing that hurking noise that indicates something is coming up.
no subject
"Yes, you're very clever. Does that make you feel better, cause this is something you're going to have to get used to. So get it through your head. I'm not going away. Things happen for a reason. Maybe this happened because you're a spoiled little shit who needs an attitude adjustment."
Never let it be said Chris took after Leo. He was totally a mamma's boy. And sadly in Trever's case this meant his Witch side was more prominent than his Whitelighter.
no subject
And then he turns on heel and stomps out.
Meanwhile Veena finishes hurking up her hairball before vanishing after her human.
no subject
One thing was clear. He needed to get his Charge to calm down. A lot. And he was pretty sure telling him to meditate was a bad idea. Maybe getting him to work it out on demons? If there were any here.
Whatever. First things first. Get out of this hospital bed.
