A Stabbing Is Not An Appropriate Birthday Present
Sickbay: [for Carson so our little whitelighter doesn't die.]
Chris ran toward the playpen. Gideon had vanished, no doubt staying invisible until he could make a move on Wyatt. He had to get the toddler out of here, or else all of his hard work was going to be for nothing. The trauma of Gideon's attempt to pierce his shield and kill him would turn him evil. And then, Chris's future was doomed. Well, it was already pretty much doomed. The world was a mess and his Wyatt wanted to kill Chris since his little brother didn't want to play 'take over the world' with him.
The Whitelighter-Witch ran, but was only able to take a handful of steps before Gideon materialized, his knife sinking in his abdomen. He watched the elder walk over and pick up his big little brother(time travel was so confusing) and orb away.
Chris fell the the attic floor, calling for his father, the older Whitelighter to help heal him, and go after Wyatt. He closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them, Chris was still on the floor.
But not the floor of the Halliwell Manor. But the Book was next to him. An old book, quite thick.
He tried to get up. Nope, that wasn't going to happen. Chris tried to orb back to the manor, so his father could get to him. Instead, the Whitelighter-Witch just dematerialized in a flash of blue and white lights, and then materialized again in the same place.
"Anyone have a bandaid?"
[Sickbay: After the funtimez that is emergency surgery, OPEN]
Chris sat up in bed and looked around, for the first time getting a good handle on his surroundings. The Halliwell's Book of Shadow's was beside him. Good. At least no one had tried to walk away with it while he was unconscious.
This was.....not like any hospital he'd ever seen before. And it wasn't the Manor, Magic School or any plane he was familiar with. So...how did he get here? Did Gideon orb him here so he wouldn't be able to help Wyatt? Focusing for a minute, his eyes widened in alarm. Definitely a different plane. He couldn't feel his Mom and his Aunts. Or Leo. He had to hope that Leo would get to Wyatt. Save him. Chris would just have to get back as soon as he could. Well, bright side at least he wouldn't be in the same reality when he was born? Which was any minute now.
"I don't mean to be rude, but I can't be here right now."

"I don't mean to be rude, but I can't be here right now."
LOL that was suppossed to be beer. HA
We'll pretend it was beer.
That who hearing in the head bit does make Kale start a bit. "But you can't hear thoughts, right? You're not actually in the person's head?"
While the twins don't actually have shields like a telepath might, they do have ... well... there are things in the dark that might not take to kindly to being poked.
"And what's your definition of trouble? Or at least what sort of things will set it off? Trouble is relative after all."
When he asks about Veena, Kale shrugged. "Last I checked she was taking up the entire bed, sleeping."
Trever's bed - again, not lying, not saying the whole truth.
Re: We'll pretend it was beer.
Chris rolled his eyes and suppressed the urge to give his new charge a look. At least he was cooperating. "Well it's a bit of a mash up between my definition of trouble and yours. It goes both ways. You get to call me too, intentionally or unintentionally. But my definition of trouble? Hurt, injured, emotionally or magically compromised. Depending on the strength of the bond Whitelighters can usually tell when something's 'off'. Trust me, we're totally not there yet. And lucky cat. I wonder if that bed's any better than this one."

"No. You don't want to be in my head at all," Kale said in the sort of voice of being in his head is a bad thing in general. "It's a criminal offence - entering a person's mind without permission back home. It'll get you a nice long prison sentence."
Look. These sorts of things are important. How else are they supposed to gauge if Chris is going to show up again and bother them? The magically comprised is interesting though. He's not exactly sure how Trever could be... no. Wait... that's a thing. Ash has probably already magically compromised Trever... Kale's mind wanders off into wondering if that would mean that every time Trever tried to go on a date or flirt with someone it would trigger...
That could be funny. A smile twitches briefly onto Kale's face at the thought.
"M'kay. So rushing head first into a fight to shut it down as fast as possible or to make sure other people can get out? Since you think it's dangerous - I'm going to assume you do - you'll be popping in? And good. It's really kind of creepy." Kale shrugged. "The beds are about your average inn's goodness."

Well at least this guy thought it was amusing. That was good. He could work with that.
"I'm honestly here to help."

Interesting is the right word, he thinks.
Kale then gave Chris a speculative look over... a very speculative checking him out look over - it might be said he was breaking out of Trever's character, but he never claimed to be Trever - and added brightly, "But at least you're not bad looking so that's a plus."
He grinned suggestively at the poor lamplighter.

Chris quipped back at Kale.
"Should I turn around or something?" Chris asked, putting a hand on his chin, relaxing.
