'Matty'...

Shadow was napping in the bar, as he often did when he wasn't harrassing officers with stupid questions, or trying to find something interesting to do, like playing in the Jeffreries, when he suddenly lifts his head. Animals and their hearing, his ears are twitching, rotating to zero in on something before he hears something again, jerking to his feet and heading for the door.

He stands in the door, awkwardly bumps into someone walking into the bar and starts heading out into the hall.

Again, the voice calls out his name.

"Mom?" He finally calls back, coming to a fork in the halls, he looks in either direction.

"Where are you?"

The kicks to his legs were annoying, and the heel of cat's shoe nails him in one of his middle digits, he releases him, snarling and dropping to all fours.

"Who needs style? Style is for girls!" Okay so he still had a little bit of that naive 'boys vs girls' mentality. Sue him.

"And cats." Cat was back on his feet. From here he could look big. "I'm naturally cool." He straightened his suit, worrying over the creases. Why had he left his portable iron in his room?

"Puh. Naturally a tool." The young cat snorts, going to lick his paw and groom himself, not realizing that in doing so he's basically mirroring Cat preening his coat.

"You're the one getting up in my grills, tryin' to trick me. That's not cool."

"I'm not trying to trick you." He pulled a comb out of his pocket and worked on putting his hair back in place. "I was not helping you. I don't help anyone."
