The Witch Goes Exploring! (OTA for all options)
When Luna got word of the upcoming Pacifica stop she was actually excited. Even now she was always up for exploring and whatever misadventures came up along the way. At the same time however she was still a teenager and well attractive men without shirts was icing on the cake.
(Option 1: Moon Frog Hunt)
Luna had her notebook in one hand as she stalked out one of many ponds, she remembered something her father had mentioned about the frogs and knew being around so much water would only up the chances of a sighting (and there was so many other creatures that live around water as well). Her wand however had been charmed into its usual chopstick mostly as a precaution but there was also a flower tucked into the teen's ponytail and radishes in her ears.
"So curious!" she was smiling now as a little frog hopped past her perch.
(Option 2: Beach Front)
At heart however Luna was still a teenage girl so she also had planned on some beach time to not just swim and enjoy the sun but to people watch (attractive men without shirts was just icing on the cake she decided) and learning a few new water sports. She had even gotten her hands on a tasteful two piece swimsuit (with magical help to cover her scars from the manor). But for the first time in weeks her heart was lighter, she could not explain it but Luna decided to just enjoy the break from her private pain.
"But now see if anyone would teach me to surf."
(Option 3: Submersible Research Institute)
The Ravenclaw in her however wanted to learn while having fun. So Luna signed up for a tour of the Submersible Research Institute. Sure she may not understand all of it but she could not pass up the chance to learn while having another adventure.

Re: Option 3
Outside there was a girl who had something interesting about her, that he couldn't put his finger on. He nodded to her and flicked a microscopic probe in her direction, to land on one of her earrings.
Option 2
She had all ready removed her cloak a while ago, and had slung it over an arm. A satchel was hanging over her other shoulder. She wore divided skirts of an embroidered woven material and a tunic woven with a leaf design. Her long white hair nearly glowed in the sunlight as she took everything in. At barely 2 and a half to three feet tall she was the size of a child and her face held a similar delight.
Finally, the gelfling took off down the beach, heading towards the water. She only halted long enough to deposit her things before skipping along the waters edge and not caring that her clothes was getting wet. Her wings caught the breeze and droplets of water sparkled on them as she splashed around.

"Hello!" She pointed out at the water. "I've never seen the ocean before. It's so big!" Just like space was big. Though, she was starting to understand that the latter was a lot bigger.

"Moon frogs? What are those?" She asked curiously.

"You'd think with a name like moon frogs they would be more out at night, right?" She wondered curiously.

"There's many creatures. A lot of them are adapted to blend in with their environment. Sometimes they look like the land itself!" Kira said, looking up at the other girl. "There are also many that live in the water, but can also breathe air. Even the plants are sentient too! Well some of them. Some are made to attract insects so they can eat them."
She glanced at the notebook again. "Have you seen moon frogs before? They must be really good at hiding. There are creatures I know in the swamps that are only seen when they want to be."
Option 2
Grainne wasn't too far away, lightening up in the face of sun and sand and water to start playing around with a couple waves with water magic. Making them slightly smaller, or bigger, or go sideways across the sand. Harmless stuff, mostly, just an exercise of control. She hadn't gotten a lot of chances to practice since coming to the Enterprise.
She over heard the comment easily enough. "To surf? It is easy." Of course, Grainne meant body surfing, taking a bit of wood and catching a wave just for fun.

She was listening when she spotted a fair haired girl who seemed to be on her own path entirely. "I do not think guests are permitted to enter the aquatic display areas."
