(Plotlocked: Oliver Queen)
Thea could not explain it but simply being off the ship was doing her some good mentally speaking. Was it actual sunlight or was it something else? No matter but she decided to just embrace it, maybe she was getting better after all?
So today she was on the beach when an idea hit, she leaned over to where her brother's towel was and made the suggestion. "We should go surfing or even wind surfing. Can't explain it but maybe getting off the ship is helping on some level and I'm wanting to embrace it somehow." she confessed.
(Plotlocked: Matt Murdock)
Once back onboard however Thea was on a mission: she was going to ask Matt on an actual (ok maybe more of an unofficial) date. Her idea was simple: she figured a picnic would be low key given him being somewhat new and a perfect way for them to talk and get to know each other better without certain things in the way (like her random dozing off). But she had tracked him down and waited for him to spot her first, this time she was in a much lighter place mentally and it showed. "Now to ask before I lose my nerve." she decided.

This was the happiest Thea had been in weeks.
She could not explain any of it but it was like things were making actual sense and it had been at least two days since any random dozing off in public or near bursts into tears. It was like something had dulled her inner pain but it was not what her old self would have done. "No matter, maybe its a good thing so going to embrace it while it lasts." not knowing the cause of her mood swing. So for now she was on the beach people watching and trying to decide what today's new sport would be (wearing board shorts and a bikini top). So feel free to chat her up!

Oliver/Thea
He stood up and brushed himself off. "Can't hurt to see if I remember how."

"Do alien planets have boogie boards," Oliver said jokingly, "also surfing lessons. It seems like human stuff wouldn't be high on their priority list."

Oliver grins. "We could have a rock tossing contest. I've been going nuts without training to do. First one to hit a wave without falling off their board wins?"

Re: Oliver/Thea
I actually ate lunch an hour ago," Oliver says, "a full meal and my snacks without making a face. It's the weirdest thing."

"You know if you needed a pep talk about me you really shouldn't have done it anywhere near me. I can hear you from a mile away." He chuckles softly so that she knows he's teasing her and turns. "So what is this important question you want to ask me Miss Queen?"

"I've never been on a real picnic before," Matt admits honestly, "unless you count a hot dog on a park bench in Central Park a picnic which most New Yorkers do." He smiles at her. "I'd like that."

Matt nods at the mention of his other friend. "Kristin and I are on a alien food quest and are using this shore leave to knock a few things off the list."

"Yeah teas are the focus for this leave," Matt says, "I'm a bit of a tea junkie back home and it's fun trying new mixes."

"Oh sure," Matt says with a smile, "what type of tea do you like?"
Claiming the OTA option!
Her knapsack was nearby, away from the water, as she exercised. And truth to be told, not all of the forms were strictly Oneahn, some were adapted to the physiologies of races her people had never needed to fight. That snap kick was meant for the back of the knee of a Minotaur. That sharp jab was for a sweet spot on Klingons. But it was all rooted in the Oneahn styles, and that made it look different, just different enough to a trained eye. She wielded no weapons, and would often drop into a stance that looked painful, holding it as if waiting. All the while her face was a clear, expressionless mask.
