Round 6 // Raindance - Locked+OTA
Locked to Kaylin and Fujin
With the work for the day completed, it was time to relieve the parched ground and refill the water basins at the colony. Thankfully, the Enterprise had a pair of rain gods to help fill the need and Raiden was rather willing on this occasion to oblige the local request for rain. That, and he was looking forward to another opportunity to spend some time with Fujin.
Incidentally, Kaylin had also come to his attention as a potentially helpful component of the storm, but he also saw it as an opportunity to indulge her apparent love of flight. Hopefully she wouldn't mind the soaking that would come along with the later half of this jaunt.
All the components were assembled, all that was needed now was to find their water source. Raiden gathered Kaylin and Fujin and, turning to his brother, he nodded.
"What direction will the winds best carry the storm today?" They might as well work with the natural direction of the planet's winds. It might go a little further to helping reboot the rain cycle locally.
OTA
The rain had rolled in rather quickly, with lightning flashing throughout the thunderhead, but somehow never daring to strike the ground. With the risk of fire too great after such a long dry spell, the electricity was kept within the clouds even as Raiden stayed out in the storm.
The dark clouds were bringing dusk faster, but he didn't mind as he looked up at the sky, an unmasked expression of pleasure upon his face. He didn't quite stand in the water, instead, his toes hovering a few inches above the muddy ground below him, rain running off his impeccably white sandals.
The last betrayal of the thunder god's hand in the storm is the electricity that traces between the slats of his hat with as much frequency as the storm. In fact, it might be strangely synced with the flashes of light within the storm itself.
Anyone who approaches him won't have to worry about being shocked or struck by lightning. He's just reveling in his element, but not at risk to those around him. Feel free to interrupt his moment, he's in quite a good mood right now. Storms do that.

"Come, my little Mizu-chan..." He said fondly. "I will not stray far from Kaylin, nor will I drop you." He added in reassurance. He summoned the winds around them, and they embraced them both. He slowly lifted from the ground a few feet, not knowing yet how Water will react or if she wanted him to actually carry her.

Water smiled at Fujin gently. "I have no fear of either," she told him. She was tempted, so tempted, to make one small change, but sensed Kaylin would prefer if she did not. After all, she wasn't sure how they would react, and she really would rather the Chosen not fall to her death.
The Elements weren't done with her yet.

Instead of the air around them becoming cyclonic like Fujin's power, it charges with electricity, and any stray hairs she might have will start to fly away as they lift up. Raiden holds on to keep her grounded to him, his eyes literally sparking as he gives her a brief smile while they start to levitate effortlessly. He's going to ease her into this before he starts to demonstrate anything to her.

His winds rustled clothing and caused dirt to blow, but other than that, it caused no harm. He had them in tight control. He couldn't wait to cut them loose a bit to build the storm.

Water stayed with Fujin, smiling warmly at them all, seeming unfazed by Kaylin's irritation.

"My apologies. I will replace it before we return to the ship today." And still they rise higher, the charge around them no longer building up, but still quite impressive. A few arcs of lightning trace between the slats of his hat now as he keeps a gentle but firm hold on her hand as they hover at the same height, actually allowing them to look eye-to-eye.
Eventually they reach a pretty respectable height, and he stops there a moment, hovering so she can enjoy the view. It gives him a moment to scope out their path against the winds Fujin will later use to direct the storm. The terrain isn't particularly jagged, they should have a relatively easy time getting the storms to the colony.

The little mortal made device was quite convenient! It was not something he needed when back on Earth - but this was perfect for a planet he didn't know.
He took note of the terrain both on the map - and the real one with his own eyes, confirming his suspicions from earlier. The best direction to go would be southeast....so they'd be able to push the weather system up to the northeast. There was some foothills on the edges of the vast plains that led up to a larger mountain range (though not nearly as big as some of Earth's). They'd be able to whip up quite a system along the hills and push it through the plains. There was some mapped water sources there which would help, but as Raiden said earlier they didn't want to dry up what meager resources the natives had. They would manage. There was a river that ran through the plains from the mountains, and if they could feed it's source, even better.
Fujin tucked the device away after turning off the map and pointed, while calling out his intentions to the thunder god and Kaylin - his voice easily carried by the winds. As far as foot travel went, the trip would have been many hours. Maybe a day. But as a god flew? Not that long at all.

Kaylin hardly heard Fujin, but Water did. She smiled at him. "I can help refill the source of the lake," she assured him. "I can feel the presence of water here, unlike the place she was when she summoned me before. This is fresher, and I can work with it."

"How fast do you wish to go?" Whatever speed, Fujin will more than be able to keep up, he knows. He won't go his fastest pace, it would make the trip far too short-lived for Kaylin (and Water) to enjoy the time aloft. That, and he can always take them in lazy circles on the way there to drag it out. But if she wants the experience of speed, he's fairly certain he can provide it. Unlike the ship, there are no intertial dampeners here and there will be every sense of acceleration.

He looked to water at her words with a nod. "That is good to hear. I am glad you are here to help us." He hoped it wouldn't drain her own personal energies too badly however. "We must keep in mind how dry this land is." He addressed them all as a group. "We must monitor our actions closely and keep strict control so we don't cause unwanted flooding." That...would be bad. He knew how easy it was to lose oneself in the joy of the storm, even with their endless experience.

Water nodded. "Understood. We will be cautious."

When Kaylin questions 'fast', Raiden nods. He starts heading against the winds, in the direction Fujin had indicated moments earlier. There's not even a tug on her arm as he starts off easily.
"Fast. We can continue this pace, or travel near the speed of lightning." Only near it because he doesn't want to overdo it with Kaylin in tow. She wouldn't be able to enjoy the scenery if he went full speed and neither would he.
