Intro | Ten Forward, at the bar

It was not the first time Tony had come to in a bar he didn't remember. That hadn't happened in awhile, but then, his problems with sleeping were recent. Maybe he was reverting. Christ, he hoped not. Pepper would never let him hear the end of it.

The decor was a bit outdated, a bit nineties. And this wasn't like any blackout he could remember. He didn't feel as though he'd lost time. Just, one moment he was in his workshop, and the next, he was here. This was cause for some concern, of course. Which was why he turned to the bar and ordered a scotch.

The better to blend in, of course.

There is no reply at first, but the buzzing will continue for a bit before it seems like the man is satisfied with it. The buzzing device will go on the table and he will turn to Tony, holding the contraption together as if it were a prized child.

"Hello there. May I ask you something: Does this look like a Time/Space visualizer at all? I believe I got the design right but the technology here is woefully inadequate. The Federation is made up of very nice people, but they are woefully lacking in temporal viewing technology."

"Tragic," Tony says, averting his head slightly in the way humans do when confronted with crazy. Sex toys would have been better. "But uh, yeah. Sure. I mean the true test would be, you know. Being able to visualize spacetime with it."

"Like you wouldn't believe," The Doctor said, exasperated as the screen flickered time and again without showing a thing. "Blasted wreck of a machine! I wish I had access to my TARDIS, get the tools I need, but then I wouldn't need a Time-Space Vicualizer, now would I?"

The doctor puts the piece of machinery down while finally turning to look at the person there.

"Ah, yes, but I've been rude. I'm The Doctor. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister...?"
