Family Business. [Action]
Closed to: Whoever has access to Rumplestiltskin's room.
You know what kind of beast you're dealing with.
Those words seemed to echo throughout her mind as she appears on the Enterprise. Belle's vision hasn't clearly yet and she isn't aware that she left the Snow Queen's cave. There was something entrapping her mind to the image of that mirror and it takes a few seconds for her to finally snap out of it, dagger dropping from her hands and clattering to the floor. Instantly Belle's hand shoots up to grip at her heart. Odd twists pain strike her there but it isn't physical. She scrambles to the floor, dropping down to her knees to retrieve the dagger and stow it back in her coat as she starts to sob.
She's angry and resentful and just plain pissed off? The dagger is fake. She should have known from the start that he wouldn't give her his main source of power. Why would he? He loved power more than he loved anything else. But if she's being honest with herself that's not why she's upset. She's upset because she couldn't resist the urge to use it like everyone else.
Belle doesn't deserve the pity she wants for herself nor does she expect to get it any time soon. How does one start to atone for violating the trust of someone they love? It's then somewhere between her own misplaced sorrow and hatred for being so weak that she finally notices the room. Where in the world is she? Blue eyes scan across her surroundings looking for something familiar but she finds nothing. This wasn't the cave she left? "Hello? Hello!" She pushes herself off the ground, wiping her eyes.
What right does she have to cry? This is her fault the exact same way Anna was her fault. Well roomies of Rumple or frequent visitors you have a Belle wandering around poking through stuff. Try not to be alarmed she doesn't bite.
Open:
Once she acclimated a little to the ship she found her way to the lounge and immediately takes a seat at the bar. Maybe she is channeling the cursed version of herself but she thinks she could use a drink. It's just too bad that Belle doesn't have a taste for alcohol at all. In fact, she hates most hard liquor but enjoys most wine. "Do you have anything red?" She inquires, trying her best to wear a polite smile that only wavers once the bartender is gone.
Maybe the lounge isn't that crowded but it's a sea of faces she doesn't recognize at all. Some of them are even different species but she doesn't want to ask about that. Such questions seem. . .rude.
But at least she can ask one to a friendly neighbor at the bar: "Can you tell me about where I am? Someone said this was called the Enterprise. What exactly does that mean?"
Gold's Room
Today, he let himself in and saw a woman he didn't recognise poking around the stuff in the quarters. Knowing Gold shared the room with Jonas, this was suspicious.
"Hey. Who are you and what the hell are you doing?"
no subject
"I'm Belle Gold and I don't know how I got here." She answered truthfully. "Where am I?"
no subject
"You're on the...Enterprise." He looked at her more closely, but he still didn't recognise her. "Gold, huh?" If she recognised him, maybe she was from the future. Either his or Gold's. "I'm Henry Gold. You related to Rumplestiltskin too?"
no subject
"He may not be from yours." And he wasn't. He didn't even know she was alive if she recalls correctly. "Why do you have his last name?"
no subject
He gives her a curious look. "So what are you doing in here? Is this where you turned up or are you looting?"

the bar
She walks up to the bar, her book held tight in her hands. Once she gets over her shyness she'll ask about getting a PADD, but for now she had a big stack of books to read.
The seat next to Belle is open, so Elizabeth takes it. She has reasons to dislike liquor, but a glass of wine might help her be more social. She peers at the wall behind the bar, trying to see what's available. Finally she gives up and asks, "What wine pairs well with whatever this holiday is?" Some holidays have specific drinks that are particular to them, maybe this one does too and she can avoid revealing how little she knows about wine.
no subject
"Usually you have red wine or egg nog for the holidays." Belle slides her glass over. "Here try some before you order a whole glass. I have plenty to share anyway."
"I'm Belle by the way."

The offered wine was examined for a moment, but not long enough to draw suspicion. Elizabeth was just startled at the offer. Once she remembered her manners she smiled at Belle and took a small sip. It wasn't like the wines in Paris, but those grapes and all their descendants were likely extinct. The wine was adequate for someone who didn't drink often or a lot. "Thank you. I'm Elizabeth. The wine is nice. Are you a recent arrival, or have you been here for a little while?" People often liked to talk about themselves, and Elizabeth liked to hear stories so it seemed smart to start off with questions rather than talking about herself.

"Do people. . .show up all the time?"
no subject
"That's what the doctors told me when I arrived. This place is. . ." She frowned and thought about how she might explain things. "It's like a hallway with many doors. Sometimes those doors open and new people come in. Often, it seems, the people do not expect to arrive. I've been to a few places like this. It's always a difficult adjustment." She shrugged, holding her hands up as if to indicate, 'what can you do?' "So far I've found that it's quite comfortable. I'm usually disinclined to like authority figures but the captain seems like a good man, and his crew are quite polite."

He also happens to be Human, so perhaps that's another reason he's being asked than the Bolian a few seats away.
"We're on a starship--it's name is Enterprise," Julian explains with a tired smile. Hasn't Q gotten tired of this little game, yet? "You're from Earth, aren't you?" He can't really assume, there's plenty of species out there with the same general body shape, but either way probably no space travel.
no subject
Weird shit happens all the time. "What, uh, planet are you from?" Is that the right question to ask?
no subject
He smiles kindly, because it's part of his duty to help people adjust, or so he supposes anyway.
"It's rather a lot to take in, isn't it?"
no subject
She nods. "Yes it is. One second I'm in my hometown and another I'm on the Enterprise. A starship as everyone keeps saying and I still can't believe we're in space." Belle turns her gaze toward one of the windows for a moment but looks away. "Is this what you do as the crew--just travel? Or is there more to it than that?" Well hopefully he gets more out of this than following what he thinks is duty. Belle is polite company and she'll make her exit when he asks it of her or she feels the need to let him alone.

"Hey. I don't think I've seen you before. Are you alright?"
no subject
"Just as well as anyone could be when they've been taken from their home. I found my husband already but everything still feels strange. How long have you been here or are you just travelling?" She noticed that Yuna wasn't wearing one of the starfleet uniforms so she doubted the woman was a crew member.
no subject
It was sad but Yuna worked hard to mask her own pain. "I don't know if I can do anything to help but if you need a friendly ear I'd be happy to help."
no subject
"They're all from my past so far and a lot of things have changed where I'm from. A lot of it isn't good and I guess sort of feel. . ." She pauses, thinking. "Alone."
no subject
"It's hard to know what to do in that situation. I think its best to follow your heart." Yuna paused as she thought. She didn't really think that people changed that much no matter how much time has pass. "I don't think I can help you not feel alone but I'm always happy to listen. Even if you aren't really looking for advice."
She smiled warmly at Bell.

Room!
He is, however, a lover of knowledge, and if he didn't have enough to study in the hundreds of years of history between Earth as he's come to know it and this time period, and between the two universes, he still has the notes he'd done his best to memorize on Alemar III before they'd left, which he's loaded into his PADD. He's not sure if he'll ever have the chance to do anything with them, but he's been working, in his spare time, on elaborating some of the theories he, Rose, and The Doctor had developed.
That's what he's doing, at the desk in his bedroom, idly eating something kind of like grapes he'd gotten from the replicator, when he hears movement from the other room, which isn't all that odd.
He has a roommate, after all.
What is odd is that, when a voice calls out to him, it's a female voice.
That makes him frown and push back his chair, heading for the door into the living quarters.
"Uh ..."
There's a woman he's never seen before looking through the things in the living quarters. Some of which are Jonas'.
"Can I ... help you?" he asks, one hand going to press to a spot on his forehead.
yay!
"I don't really know where I am." There is truth to her tone. "I just--I just showed up here and I know I'm not supposed to be here." If she says more than that she's afraid that this man will think she's crazy.
"I didn't mean to intrude."
bar
He doesn't know if she knows who he is though. "It means you're in space." That probably doesn't help much. "There are ships that sail in the sea. This is one that basically sails in space."
no subject
"Pardon me but do you know of a man who might call himself Rumplestiltskin?"
no subject
"I know him. I also know where to find him." His father's habits are hard to miss, and it didn't take him long to figure out that they're not that far down the hall from each other.
no subject
Alive and well at that. Neal is easier to focus on than trying to grapple with being in space. "How long have you been here?"
