[Sickbay]: Round Eleven Scans and Vaccines

There's something different about Sickbay today.
If you are new to the ship, you may not notice any difference at all; however, for those who have been on the Enterprise for a while, it's impossible to miss. While, usually, the ship's CMO is on duty to assist new arrivals and the rest of the medical crew, she's nowhere to be seen. Dr. Beverly Crusher of this universe and timeline has gone missing. While the crew work to meet this new challenge, Dr. Julian Bashir has stepped in as the ship's interim CMO, with all the duties and responsibilities that entails. Here's hoping this is an easy day in Sickbay...
For those entering for the first time, no doubt you've been escorted here by the security team. You may be surprised to see that it's a fairly ordinary-looking hospital. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you might see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for the staff, they're all well-groomed and friendly — even the more unusual aliens.
There's nothing to worry about, the doctors just want to make sure you aren't carrying any viruses or are vulnerable to catching new diseases. Once you've been checked over — a quick scan from a tricorder and any necessary vaccines — you'll be free to go. Lollipops are optional.
"All right, step on in," one of them calls out as you enter. "Don't be afraid. It's just a scan and a hypospray, nothing to worry about."
[ooc: Sickbay is, as always, OTA and open for backtagging! For new characters: tagging isn't mandatory but IC going to sickbay is. If you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. Since Dr. Crusher has been apped as a PC this month, she will not be seeing any patients until she decides to resume her responsibilities as CMO. Julian Bashir will be taking her place as head of the medical staff for the time being, so if anyone needs to thread fallout from that or ask him questions, he will have a toplevel you can tag. For everyone else getting standard checkups, tag in specifying which doctor you would prefer in the subject line of your tag, otherwise one will leap on you as they are available. There is a post up in the OOC comm with more details about Sickbay and which doctors are on deck this month, if you have any questions.]
Room 1629: Chief medical officer's office
Uncomfortable or no, he's there in the office, available to go over anyone's concerns or complaints.
because this butt will wonder where his dr. bev is :'(
But he hasn't seen Dr. Bev around for a while, and now that the new arrivals are swarming in Akito takes the opportunity to stop by her office to say a quick 'hello' ...
Only she isn't there. He keeps his worry in check, thinking that perhaps she's gone off-ship on a mission or seminar for a while and he simply never got the memo.
"Where's Dr. Beverly?"
:C
It's a rather complicated situation, what's going on with Dr. Crusher--not unique, of course, given Worf's brief switch for the man Julian was more familiar with himself, but the Lieutenant had been only briefly replaced and hadn't been Chief Medical Officer besides.
"She's about, however, circumstances have changed somewhat."
Julian smiles slightly. "I'm certain she'll be resuming her duties soon, but for the moment I'm filling in."
no subject
"Is she okay? If she was sick she would be here..."
no subject
"Q brought her back to this timeline from the future. She's taking some time to readjust."
Re: Room 1629: Chief medical officer's office
The red head knocked politely on the side of the door as he stuck his head in. A very pissed off cat sat on his shoulder flicking her tail rapidly into Trever's face. "Are you the man in charge?" he asked politely in a fairly thick Irish accent.
