First Entrance!
When I was a little girl, I had an imaginary friend. And when I grew up, he came back. He's called the Doctor, he comes from somewhere else; he's got a box called the TARDIS that's bigger on the inside and can travel anywhere in time and space. I ran away with him, and this is the story of how he changed my life...
You know that lovely sound a TARDIS makes? It's sort of a whoosh, or a hum, or a whoom-WHEEEM, rwhooom-REEEM? Some would say it's the loveliest sound in the universe, because it means something wonderful is coming.
Only this time, there is no sound. Just a step, and a little stumble, and a brand new room.
Amy blinks, freezing in the middle of Ten Forward.
"Doctor?" she calls, glancing about. "Rory? Doctor! Rory!"
Oh, what has he done now? If this is a joke, she's not going to laugh. Frankly, his sense of humour is abysmal. "Where am I?"

"A bunch of us got pulled in."
no subject
"Who are you?" she demands, giving the other redhead a once-over. "...And why does that sound familiar?"
The last half is partly to herself.
no subject
Pause.
"Which part sounds familiar?"
no subject
"Amy," she offers, taking a few wary steps closer. "The part about the ship. Enterprise? What part of the universe is this?"
icon is strictly for Natasha's inner feelings
Star Trek.
"A long way from Earth. And potentially in a completely different universe from yours in the first place."
lol, poor Natasha
no subject
"Back where you were, probably. As I said, a bunch of us got pulled here."

"I'm guessing the forces that be aren't done with kidnapping people from across time and space," he muses, perhaps alarmingly.
no subject
"Who's that, then?" she asks, picking the worthier question.
She's fine, if a little annoyed.
no subject
He's not happy about that, but he understands. He guesses.
no subject
"What's your name? Are you part of the crew?" she asks. "How long 'ave you been here?"
no subject
Maybe two? He's usually quite good at tracking things, but in boredom he tends to lose count.
no subject
Oh, if the Doctor were here, he would... no, Amy would ask him why they haven't been by to help yet. It's deplorable.

"You are aboard ze USS Enterprise-D."
no subject
"Yes. I do. Where is he?" she retaliates, each sentence short and clipped. "How did I get here? Why am I here?"
no subject
"She is likely in sickbay," he replies, though he's trying to be helpful in the face of getting such short responses. "Doctor McCoy may be with her, I do not know. But as to how and vhy...zat is harder to explain," he says with the smallest of shrugs, as if he's apologizing for being that unhelpful. Even if it is the best he ca do. "Zere vas an...unknown anomaly zat gathered many of us here, where ve do not belong. Zat is all ve know, so far."
no subject
"She?" Amy asks, thinking for a moment that something's really happened. "Oh, no. Not just any doctor, the Doctor. Tall, scarecrow, Raggedy Man, likes to wear bow ties."
Anything ringing a bell? "And who is 'we'?"
no subject
In answer to who the aforementioned 'we' is, Pavel simply turns and gestures to the lounge at large. "Anyone who is here? Ve are not all from zis ship, not ewen zis time. You see the ones in ze uniforms? They are Starfleet. Ze rest...are not."
It's somewhat confusing, we understand. Pavel is just waiting for a solution. Because without him, who knows what Sulu is getting up to with Kirk having no McCoy to temper him either. And Pavel likes his pilot. He really likes his pilot in one piece, which almost did not happen the last time Kirk was unsupervised.
no subject
"Starfleet? What, like, future military in space?" she asks, having a look over their uniforms. "Why do I think I've heard that name before? What is this, some kind of battle cruiser?"

When Amy appears, he's in the middle of reading up on something. The flash of light catches his interest and he glances up, closes his book, and approaches her.
"How do you feel?" he asks simply. "Are you experiencing any disorientation?"
no subject
"Annoyed," she answers. "And, quite frankly, steamed. The only disorientation I'm feelin' is from being in a strange room. What's the idea?"
Obviously this is his fault.

She's genuinely curious. She asked you a question, bub!
"I was in the TARDIS. The 'when' doesn't matter, it gets – wibbly. Oi, I asked you what I'm doing here, you know. Who are you?"
no subject
no subject
"You know. Wobbly," she says.
She can't believe she's doing this.
"...Timey-wimey, look, it's complicated. All right? Why are you doing that?"
She leans back almost the instant he leans in.
