Open~! There is going to be a concert!

Yuna had done this a few times before but each time she hadn't done the foot work. There was a lot to do and she was trying to do it all by herself. Luckily time was one thing that she had in abundance. She ran down the halls with a wide smile looking perhaps a little too happy with paper gripped tightly in her hands. Each one had a hand written notice on it informing them of a concert that will be taking placing on the holodeck. It had specific directions and a time. She wanted to see if she could get everyone to come even though she still have to finish getting the scene together in the holodeck and then make sure she could use her spheres without it getting in the way of what she had in mind.

She stopped everyone in the hall with a wide smile holding out the flyer. "Here! I'm having a concert! You should come!"

Later in the day she can be found shouting at the holodeck as she tries to get the scene to change according to her memories. To be far the holodeck had no recollection of Spira in its data so she was trying to do it from scratch and it was a lot harder than she had thought. Yuna through her arms down to the sides getting perhaps a little to angry with the machine.

"Come on."

Yuna and technology didn't always mix well and even from the hallway her shouts could be heard.

She didn't mind him resting a hand on her shoulder and she almost jumped as she answered him. "yes!" She paused. "I mean: yes, I'd like to do it now."

Yuna flushed brightly moving the flyers to her hands. She let them rest in her palms for a moment before focusing on them. The papers glow for a moment before vanishing into her spheres.

"I'm ready!"

Merlin smiled. He led her toward the arboretum and nodded as he walked with her. "The biggest thing to remember is to be calm, and to act with confidence. Magic is fueled by will. confidence and sureness help."

He nodded as he headed into the arboretum, and led her to a quiet corner. "First, we want to give you something to change into, so... scan me, from head to toe, just the physical form, with your magic. See how well you can feel my body and what it looks and feels like."

"Right." Yuna nodded. She had been schooled in basic practices when it came to magic and calm concentration. Magic was something that the ex summoner knew and it was easy for her to feel confident about it.

She followed falling in step behind him until they were out of the way and tucked into the small corner. "Is that alright?" She felt like she would be invading his personal space if she scanned his physical form and she wasn't sure if she was ready to turn into a man.

Merlin grinned at her. "It's okay with me, but if you are not comfortable with that, we could try another form, instead. Perhaps a cat?"

He thought she should try a human first, but comfort was important too, so maybe a cat would be better.

"A cat? Alright." That would better for Yuna though she might be a little embarrassed to say so aloud.

Merlin nodded to her, then shifted, letting himself shrink and slid into the form of the cat he ran around in a lot. "There you go."

The cat wound around her legs, then sat up and stared at her. "Relax yourself before you try the scan, and before you try the change, both."

Yuna sits letting Merlin come and move onto her lap if he wished. Slowly the muscles in her back relax until she felt malleable. She lightly placed her hands in her lap and closed her eyes stretching her senses out so that she could feel his full form. The gentle curves of the cats body as he sits. The soft flick of his tail as he stares up at her.

She lets out a slow breath keeping her senses open and reaching out towards her new teacher. She listened to his words letting her magic guide her forward.

Merlin leaped to her lap and snuggled in, then peered up at her as she scanned him. When she was done, he leaped from her lap again and rubbed along her side reassuringly, purring before speaking.

"When you are ready, when you have the form in your mind, place it next to your own, and slowly interpose the two, then shift, from one, to the other." His voice was slow and easy as he spoke.

Yuna did as he instructed letting the image rest in her mind while reaching out with her senses. It was transparent almost as she began to interpose the two. As one faded the outline of the other grew strong and solidified.

She didn't open her eyes right away but instead reached out feeling what was around her. A soft sound rippled from her chest as she slowly opened her eyes.

Merlin-cat nudged her as she opened her eyes. "Well done, young one." He purred softly.

She opened her eyes and shook her head as her eyes met Merlin. They were on the same level now and Yuna felt four little paws pressing against the floor. She bounced lightly feeling almost giddy as she moved around Merlin while she mewed softly.

Merlin meowed softly then rubbed along her and grinned, looking around. "Welcome to the world of shapeshifting, Yuna." He looked on her fondly, and with pride.

"Stretch your legs some, get a feel for how the body works, but do not stay long in the form this time. When you are ready, I will help you change back." He patted the floor with one paw.

Yuna was having fun but she could understand how staying to long like this might be bad. She hooped around letting her paws fall lightly on the floor as she moved. First she circled Merlin and then she went to jump over him which resulted in falling on him instead.

"Sorry."

Merlin laughed, a cheerful sound and rolled with her, nipping at her ear gently before poking her lightly. "No worries, young one. But be careful. Not all Toms are as nice as I." His cat eyes shone as he rubbed along her side.

"Right."

Yuna shook her eat as he nipped at her feeling a shiver running along her skin. She bounced forward trying to run in a straight line which for a moment looked a little silly. She stopped and went sliding a few feet before planting her butt back on the ground.

"I suppose I should try and change back now." Her eyes met his curiously, suddenly wondering if she would be able to change back.

Merlin chuckled at her movements, and he purred to her, stalking to her, then he slowly changed, and appeared as his human self. "I think it would be wise. Let me know if you need help." He gently petted her fur. "Relax as much as you can, while envisioning how you normally look and feel."

Her back arched into his palm purring softly. Being petted did feel good. After a moment she walked in a small circle stopping for a moment as she pictured her own imagine. It was a little harder than before but after a moment she took in a breath felling her lungs expand and her fingers flex.

Yuna almost fell forward suddenly unbalanced by the change reaching for the wall or Merlin as she tried to steady herself. She felt dizzy.

Merlin caught her as she finished and smiled. "Again, well done. A smoother first time than most." He nodded to her.

"You have strength and focus that few so young have in them. I can see you going far with your studies."

Yuna stood up feeling her eyes spin slightly. She still felt dizzy but it wasn't as bad as passing through the chaos the first time.

"Thank you." She shook her head trying to steady herself. Her palm pressing against the wall. "I think I should take a break before I try anything else though."

Merlin kept a hand on her shoulder or side, just in case, and would until she seemed ready to stand completely alone.

"I think, indeed, that you should stop for the day. First transformations are a huge trauma to the body and mind. You need to let yourself adapt to what is now part of you. Eat a good meal, and sleep, even, then exercise. You should be fine, after." He nodded. She had learned very quickly. She would recover quickly too, he was sure.

"That sounds like a good plan." Yuna smiled trying to take a few shaky steps forward. She was used to the sort of physical drain from when a spirit would merge with hers but this was a little more rattling.

She was grateful for his steady hand as she moved back towards the hall. "I should probably head back to my room."

Merlin smiled at her. "Good." He watched her carefully as he helped her along.

"Not a bad plan. Some rest wont do you badly." he gently squeezed her shoulder. "Do you want assistance back to there?" Concern warmed his voice.

Yuna blushed lightly wishing that she had been able to stand on her own two feet. She's had this in the past where Kimarhi would hold her weight for her as she recovered. It was hard to pretend to be strong when she felt the strength drained from her.

"I should be fine. I just need a moment to collect myself." She smiled placing her palm against the wall and straightening her back so that she was standing tall.

Merlin saw her blush and guessed what she was feeling. "There is no shame in needing aide, milady. But as you wish." He gently touched her side, willing some of his strength to her, if she would accept it, and then nodded. "Rest for now, then go on as you will. I hope we can work on this more, some, another day."

Yuna's smile widened. "Yes." She turned towards the door feeling a little bit better with his added strength.

She wanted to stand on her own two feet and she knew one day she might be able too.

With that she walked from the room not willing to chance using magic to move back to her bed.
