001 ☤ Arrival (Ten Forward)
"Doctor Lam," Chief Sergeant Walter called to her from the doorway of the infirmary.
"One moment," Carolyn replied distractedly as she finished writing in the chart she'd been working on. One of the Majors from SG-11 had hurt his wrist during his last mission and she'd just finished clearing him for duty... Again. It had been the third time that month that the man had managed to get himself hurt, though no one held Colonel Mitchell's record. She didn't even know for sure just how many times that he'd been hurt. By now it was probably getting up close to triple digits. Finishing up, she set her pen down and looked up finally and nodded a greeting to Walter. "What do you need?"
"General Landry would like to see you in the briefing room."
Carolyn's eyebrows drew together for a moment before she nodded her head. "Right, could you let him know I'll be right there?" She knew that putting off a meeting with her father for any reason wasn't a good idea, besides he wouldn't have been calling her to the briefing room if the reason he wanted to speak to her was for a personal reason.
"Yes Ma'am, I'll let him know," Walter agreed before stepping back and shutting the door behind him..
Gathering up a notepad and a few extra pens, Carolyn headed over to the door, and pulling the door open she stepped out into what should have been the passage way. Though, it was anything but. She was standing in a room she didn't even recognize... She wasn't even sure-- No, no this was no place at the SGC. And it didn't look like an Ori ship, not that she knew what one looked like inside but this didn't scream Ori and they were into the self promoting.
She stood there for a moment, her eyebrows both arching in complete disbelief. She turned her head to look behind her, and of course the infirmary was gone too.
How had they beamed her here? She had thought the base had installed anti-beaming technology. This was very strange joke to be playing on her.
"OK, guys. Ha ha. Very funny," she called out, expecting her dad or any of the SGC to jump out from behind maybe the bar and laugh at her. No one did though, and a frown soon found it's way onto her lips. This was getting old, fast. She glanced at the woman behind the bar and then at the those seated at the tables, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Okay, where are they?" She didn't even give them a chance to reply, just spun around, a hand planted firmly on her hip. "Okay guys! Joke's over! Time to take me home now.... Guys?"

"That too." Yuna's head tilted to the side. "Sadly though it is true. Do you not believe me?"
She figured she could find a way to prove it. The easiest way was seeing the stars if that wasn't usual back in her own world. Though Yuna had a feeling it wouldn't be so simple.

She shoved the pens she was still holding her in hands into the pockets of her lab coat. This was nuts, there was no way that someone named Q could have taken her right out of the SGC, no way! "We have technology that makes things like the impossible," she said, still looking around the room.
"So you see he couldn't have just taken me."
no subject
Though from there current stale mate Yuna felt as if just saying so wouldn't convince the woman so she held out her hand summoning a flower made of ice and then evaporating it with flames. She closed her hand and they were gone.
"Like that."
no subject
Her eyes narrowed and she took a half step back. Okay, now the ice flower thing being evaporated by fire was certainly bizarre but she didn't believe it was magic.
"Nice show of powers. Doesn't mean it's magic."
no subject
Her smile stays in place as she spoke. "It depends on the world."

"There's nothing to understand. It's just a matter of genetics and species. " Science was what she was going to fall back upon. She might not understand what the hell was going on, but she'd always be able to fall back on science.
no subject
"Just in different words, I suppose."
She thought for a moment her expression shifting to something more serious. All of her thoughts were painted across her features as she spoke. "Then let's say it like this. A person named Q brought you here. He sucks." It was a different way to say it.
no subject
She shook her head and shrugged. "Well, it's not like he can keep us here forever, right? Surely there's a way we can get to where we're suppose to..." She glanced around. "Is he here? This Q?"
no subject
It wasn't so bad here but it took getting used too.
"You know, we might be able to find him but I don't think that we will be able to convince him to send us home."
no subject
"Is there a reason why he's doing this or it just because he can and he's bored?
Her tone is rather dry but she just can't even be bothered to pretend to be impressed by what this Q was doing. He had completely disrupted her life and honestly, she had way too much to do back home.
no subject
She let out a slow sigh leaning forward with her fingers laced behind her back. "You never really know what he might do next."
no subject
"So... Does he show up a lot or does he just plop people in here from time to time?"
