001 ☤ Arrival (Ten Forward)
"Doctor Lam," Chief Sergeant Walter called to her from the doorway of the infirmary.
"One moment," Carolyn replied distractedly as she finished writing in the chart she'd been working on. One of the Majors from SG-11 had hurt his wrist during his last mission and she'd just finished clearing him for duty... Again. It had been the third time that month that the man had managed to get himself hurt, though no one held Colonel Mitchell's record. She didn't even know for sure just how many times that he'd been hurt. By now it was probably getting up close to triple digits. Finishing up, she set her pen down and looked up finally and nodded a greeting to Walter. "What do you need?"
"General Landry would like to see you in the briefing room."
Carolyn's eyebrows drew together for a moment before she nodded her head. "Right, could you let him know I'll be right there?" She knew that putting off a meeting with her father for any reason wasn't a good idea, besides he wouldn't have been calling her to the briefing room if the reason he wanted to speak to her was for a personal reason.
"Yes Ma'am, I'll let him know," Walter agreed before stepping back and shutting the door behind him..
Gathering up a notepad and a few extra pens, Carolyn headed over to the door, and pulling the door open she stepped out into what should have been the passage way. Though, it was anything but. She was standing in a room she didn't even recognize... She wasn't even sure-- No, no this was no place at the SGC. And it didn't look like an Ori ship, not that she knew what one looked like inside but this didn't scream Ori and they were into the self promoting.
She stood there for a moment, her eyebrows both arching in complete disbelief. She turned her head to look behind her, and of course the infirmary was gone too.
How had they beamed her here? She had thought the base had installed anti-beaming technology. This was very strange joke to be playing on her.
"OK, guys. Ha ha. Very funny," she called out, expecting her dad or any of the SGC to jump out from behind maybe the bar and laugh at her. No one did though, and a frown soon found it's way onto her lips. This was getting old, fast. She glanced at the woman behind the bar and then at the those seated at the tables, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Okay, where are they?" She didn't even give them a chance to reply, just spun around, a hand planted firmly on her hip. "Okay guys! Joke's over! Time to take me home now.... Guys?"

"How are you doing doc?"
no subject
Her forehead wrinkled and she stared at him for a couple of long silent seconds. "Uh, what are you doing here? And what do you mean by this not having a current end? That's just--- Tell me you're joking."
no subject
"We've encountered an alien with god like powers. He's pulled us into an alternate world, and no one has been able to persuade him that we've got homes to return to."
no subject
She shook her head, her eyebrows furrowing together. "Well, maybe I should talk to him. I've managed to handle a lot of stubborn personnel in my time with the SGC." She might be shooting him a pointed look. "Doesn't he understand that.. Well there's the Ori problem still and you all are dealing with the Wraiths. We can't stay here."
sorry I was away on holiday.
And look how quickly John shies away from talking about that, a psychiatrist would have a field day. "You can talk to him if you can find him, I haven't seen him once in six months, I've only seen his handy work." He grimaces.
"One of the people Qs brought aboard is a Wraith, his name is Todd. Try not to kill him okay? He's sort of a friendly." Depending on the day of the week.
it's all good!
Carolyn stared at him unbelieving. "Doctor Beckett's alive here?" She shook her head because that, that just wasn't even possible, not even with Gao'uld technology. She wasn't even sure the Ori could do anything like that. Her eyes narrowed a bit and she was moving a little closer to him, gaze sweeping over him. "Did you hit your head somehow?"
His last question though made her glare at him. "Why would I try and kill a Wraith? Do I look like I have a suicide wish?" Really though, she was the last person a Wraith ever had to worry about. She didn't like guns or violence which was a god thing since she was a doctor.

He gives her a funny look. "I don't make a habit of hallucinating dead people. You can see him for yourself soon and tell me if he is real." After living on Atlantis for years, he knows better than to rule anything out because he thinks he is right.
"Any doctor who comes out on our away team has had to face a Wraith at some point or another. Sorry, I forget we're kind of unique in arming our doctors so they can take care of themselves."

She reached up and rubs her forehead. This was all way more bizarre than the stuff she was use to dealing with the SGC and she had dealt with some seriously bizarre stuff. Like the multiple teams of SGC-1 when they had all been pulled to their reality through the Stargate. This though was a whole new level of bizarre.... BUT, Doctor Fraiser had been on one of those teams. "And you're certain that he'd from our reality?"
AND then she's glaring again. "I didn't say that I can't protect myself. You must have momentarily forgotten who my father is." She could shoot a gun and shoot it well enough, she just didn't like to. "I just haven't had to come up against Wraith."
