Thunder rolls
Thor was standing stock still. He had felt the shift, the disconnection. It was like being hurled through the rainbow bridge, backward, powerless. His teeth were clenched and his arms bunched, his hands fists, and Mjolnir in one hand as if to ward off the bad old memories that rushed to his mind. But his eyes opened to see the place he was in and he knew this was not like the nightmares about being cast down and no longer being himself. He felt the reassuring heft of Mjolnir in his hand and the rush of power in his body and mind, and knew he was still himself. But where was he? And how had he gotten there?
Thor held out a hand casually, and a man in a uniform bumped into it, turned to angrily say something, and stopped, then looked up, and up, at Thor, staring. "Excuse me, good sir. Where am I? Is this Midgard?"
He hoped it was, because if it was not, he knew he was in very deep trouble. The next minute, fear faded and a grin fell into his face. Trouble could be fun, right?
Right.
The man stammered, shook his head, and fled before something odder and above his paygrade. Thor sighed but shrugged. Time to find some answers.

With a shudder, he turned back to her. "That is one strike against this world, at least."

"I'm sorry. I should have warned you. We might be able to get you real beer if we ask around. I know a lot of people have wanted it since arriving."
no subject
Then he turned his gaze on her. "Spaceship, yes. Perhaps I should have said this Realm, since I am quite sure we are nowhere near my time or place."

Yuna thought about her memories of Thor and wished that he had remembered that. It would be fun to talk about again. She turned away from the counter though she downed her own drink not caring to much about the taste.
"What would make it better here?"
no subject
"Real alcohol, my friends, and not being trapped without reason or cause, and without choice." he spoke softly, but surely.
no subject
"If you make some I'd be interested to try it out."
no subject
Thor smiled to her. "I'll remember that, and let you know." He nodded. "For now, then, where do we stay while on board this vessel?"
no subject
Yuna's fingers lightly danced along her lips. "Well, you need to go through sickbay then there is here, the holodeck, you'll get a room and a few other places."
no subject
"Then will you lead me to this sick bay? Why is it called so?"
He paused, then asked on. "What is a holodeck?"
no subject
She smiled then. "Holodeck makes holograms. So you can see your home or any world really."
no subject
"Ah! A reality simulation room! Excellent! I will be glad to see such a wonder constructed by Midgardian hands."
no subject
"I can lead you to a holodeck first if you want." Yuna was 85% sure that was okay.
no subject
"Which way do we go?"
no subject
"It isn't so bad and usually quick."

He nodded to her words, thinking on the medical stylings of Doctor Banner, who seemed to work hard and silently, as contrasted by the medicine beds of home, where he would be chided for having to come in and be healed, and yet be healed just as quickly, and much more completely, than any Midgardian science could.
He wondered where this experience would fall.

"I don't really like not having seasons or day and night." It was hard for her because she had felt so connected to the elements of each planet she visited. She could sense life and death; space was just empty.
Yuna leads him down the hall pointing out the few things she remembers about the ship as they go.

Her relating of things along the way earned his warmth and thanks.
"It seems you have learned this place well in that time."
no subject
She smiled brightly. It was nice to be able to help for a change.

"I'm sure if there isn't some like that here you could start something." She'd go to plays.
no subject
"Maybe we can see about that. I was an actor back home."

She shook her head trying her best not to compare those she knew before now. It was confusing and she didn't want people to blend together. They were all a little different.
