Thunder rolls
Thor was standing stock still. He had felt the shift, the disconnection. It was like being hurled through the rainbow bridge, backward, powerless. His teeth were clenched and his arms bunched, his hands fists, and Mjolnir in one hand as if to ward off the bad old memories that rushed to his mind. But his eyes opened to see the place he was in and he knew this was not like the nightmares about being cast down and no longer being himself. He felt the reassuring heft of Mjolnir in his hand and the rush of power in his body and mind, and knew he was still himself. But where was he? And how had he gotten there?
Thor held out a hand casually, and a man in a uniform bumped into it, turned to angrily say something, and stopped, then looked up, and up, at Thor, staring. "Excuse me, good sir. Where am I? Is this Midgard?"
He hoped it was, because if it was not, he knew he was in very deep trouble. The next minute, fear faded and a grin fell into his face. Trouble could be fun, right?
Right.
The man stammered, shook his head, and fled before something odder and above his paygrade. Thor sighed but shrugged. Time to find some answers.

Obvious logic.
And so there's a skinny elf-looking pretty boy with no fashion sense wandering towards Thor with a curious look on his face.

In any extent, with the man coming close, Thor spoke, smiling.
"Good sir, where are we? And what strangeness brought me here?"
no subject
And while Alec never really considers him self a 'good sir' he still stops to answer. "We are in space! On a starship known as the Enterprise and the strangeness was a strange being by the name of Q, because he's too good to have more than one letter in his name."
no subject
"Space? Good. But Enterprise? A starship?" He squinted, then snapped his fingers. "A ship that rides the Aether! Of course!" He frowned then.
"I did not think that mortals had come so far in their understanding of the universe."

"Thor?! You're here too?"
no subject
"Do you know where we are?" This place was as confusing as Midgard had ever been.
no subject
"Um... Yeah. I'm sorry. This is the Enterprise. It's a starship that has people random show up due to someone named Q." She tried to sum it up quickly. "I didn't mean to be so formal. I've met you but it's a different you, I think."
She was pretty sure she was only confusing things.

She recognizes the look of that hammer, and that means the man holding it must be...
"You're Thor," she says, loud enough to catch his attention. (She hasn't really thought about what to say past that, though.)
no subject
She was a Midgardian, at least in appearance, and young. Might she be from one of the worlds he had dreamed of? Or another world like his where his dreams were fictions? "Who might you be, young one?"
no subject
"I don't think you've dreamed of me."

He rounds the corner - a man. A large man. A large blond man with a hammer on his shoulder. It's not his Thor, or his Mjolnir, but he's instantly comparing the differences in the feel of them. "Thor."
It's not a question. He doesn't believe he could be wrong.
no subject
Thor was working on being more perceptive and less quick to leap to assumptions or actions. He was not that good at it yet, but he was doing his best.

"You haven't been here long have you?"

"You are on the starship Enterprise, I take it you're not from this place," She replied, a small, amused smile on her face as she clasped her hands behind her back. He definitely looked like a warrior, but who fights with a hammer?

"This isn't Midgard or Earth. Most of the Avengers are here."
no subject
Because, well, of course they would. They were the Avengers.

"There are security officers who will not take kindly to your hammer."

And that was without the very impressive armor and hammer he was carrying around. He was already up, about to recycle the cup back into the replicator, and headed over to introduce himself.
"Midgard? I'm not sure where that is, but---" Jim stopped, getting a good look at the guy's face, and his train of thought was completely derailed. The man looked like his father, George Kirk. He mentally shakes himself and tries to find his voice, eyes squeezing shut briefly.
"But this is a starship, USS Enterprise 1701-D. I'm Jim Kirk," he offers a hand to the one that isn't holding a ---very large hammer. Okay.

Thor looked to the other man and smiled at him.
"This ship, then, what stars does it sail? Which realm?"
He met the man's hand with his own and shook vigorously. "I am Thor Odinson."
no subject
The guy had a hell of a grip, but he shook as well nonetheless. "Thor---well, I guess that hammer of yours makes a bit more sense now."
Jim's seen quite a bit so far. Men, former friends, who'd thought they were gods due to an influx of power and ability, but he's never met an actual god from any myths yet. Even artificial intelligence that was controlling a planet and most of its people. First time for everything, he supposes.
