Medicine is a real Science

[Medical Labs / Sickbay - Multiple Days]

So, it's been a busy few days, and a few days where a certain Dr. Beckett has basically been a permanent fixture in Sickbay and the labs adjacent. He'll have been seen bustling in and around, always with a PADD, Tricorder, hypospray or specimen vial in his hand.

He's running tests, comparisons, air screenings, water screenings, filter screenings, asking other people for their advice on terms and systems he knows not a thing about... He's quite the dilligent worker... or obsessed, whichever you prefer.

He always has time to answer questions, though, even though he has few answers at this point. People can catch him in Sickbay, or on the way to the labs. When in the labs, he can be seen hunched over equipment, asking the computer questions, and, sometimes, even holding what seems to be a non-Federation scanning device. When he's using this piece of equipment, he's physically writing things down in an odd-looking language.

He may seem tired, but one thing that never fails is his professionalism and dedication.

Trance twitched a little, but didn't want to appear like she had something to hide, even though, well, she did. She gave him a nod, and sat down on the nearest biobed.

"Don't say I didn't warn you."

Trance moved her arm up for Carson to take a sample, clothed in a leotard rather than her normal thick leather outfit when she was gold rather than purple. "You're welcome." Trance smiled, trying her best to appear helpful and innocent.

Too bad she wasn't. Manipulating the gravity right around the sample kit, she put enough weight on it for the kit to start cracking, before releasing her control.

Poor Carson. Nobody should have to deal with Purple Trance when she was screwing with someone.

"See?" Trance gave him a big smile. " I break things." Unfortunately for Dr. Beckett, Purple Trance never told the truth in her life. She was strung together by a string of lies, vague truths and evasions.

"Be grateful that kit wasn't a coffee maker. That was ugly." And in doing so she shorted out the artificial gravity and saved all of their lives. Lucky coincidence huh?

And he would be entirely right. And not the first person to think that. Dylan and Carson should get together and compare stories. At least she didn't send Carson 300 years back in time so he could kill 100,000 people. Yet. There was always time for fun later.

"Really?" Trance looked ever so innocent. "Is there anything else I can do to help? Why don't I take over like I originally suggested. And you get something to eat and nap. Everything will be fine, I promise." She nodded and smiled a big bright smile.

Thanks for helping Trance with AC!

For a moment, Trance thought about hitting him over the head. And it wasn't exactly a brief moment. That was too messy, too obvious.

"Okay then, why don't I get you some food then. So you can keep your strength up. You wouldn't want to pass out. One of the kids here might take advantage of the situation and draw on your face with permanent marker."
heartofasun: (Purple that kind of hurt)

Trance slunk back, her tail wrapping around the feet of a nearby table, shrugging, her head down. She did her best to look disappointed.

"Well then, if you're sure. You know how to get in touch with me if you need help."

For a moment she considered hitting on the back of his head and knocking him out.
