Marking Terroritory (open)
After discovering there was another cat on board (albeit a furry and less evolved version) Cat was not happy. Although she hadn't got the better of him, he'd completely failed to show her who was boss. This wasn't Red Dwarf, but it was still his ship, as far as he was concerned. Fortunately, there was an easy way of making that clear.
He'd had to prepare and build up his stock. It wasn't something he'd needed to do for a long time - he'd got used to being the only cat around. He'd replicated some small spray bottles he could secrete about his person and taken them into the bathroom. Now he had enough - for the moment anyway - and he set about spraying their contents around the ship.
"This is mine," he said, as he sprayed the floor of the corridor. It did make it smell slightly of cat wee, but as far as Cat was concerned that was how it was supposed to smell.

He looked around. Or rather, smelled around...
"Did you have to spray everything else?"

He had to admit to himself that it didn't smell as strong as snake musk. That could stay with you for days. But snakes typically used that only for defense when they're frightened, and rarely were snakes frightened of a snake sage. (Except that one time he surprised Aoba with a fire jutsu. That tunic never smelled the same again... And Manda laughed at him for three weeks straight.)
"Does it matter?"

He held the bottle up and decided it was empty. So he went into the bathroom to leave it in there, so he could fill it up. The bathroom was one of the few places Cat hadn't sprayed. Although anyone could tell from looking who lived here, given that it was filled with his beauty products and it was a place where he spent a lot of time.
When he put the bottle down he was distracted by the mirror and decided he needed to comb his hair.

The smell of their room, though, would take some getting used to.
