Mary's Arrival (OTA)
It had been a long but eventful few weeks since Mary had returned to the island. She had been arrested after landing in O’ahu and then released into her brother’s custody, stood beside her brother at their father’s funeral, investigated the contents of the Champ toolbox and had been abducted. Thankfully, she had been kidnapped by the world’s worst abductors ever as they neglected to take her cell phone away from her and she was able to call her brother which led to her rescue. Mary had argued with her brother that she didn’t need medical attention but she promptly lost that argument and after being seen by the doctor, she now sported a bandage on her forehead, a wrapped hand and several scrapes and bruises as a result of her ordeal.
She didn’t want to go back to Los Angeles but her stubborn older brother took a page from their old man’s book and wanted her to go back to the mainland as he feared for her safety. Very reluctantly, Mary packed her bag and allowed Steve to drive her to the airport where they said a heartfelt goodbye and she got on the plane to L.A.
Only when she went to step onto the plane, she wasn’t in the plane anymore. She wasn’t even sure she was even in the airport anymore. She suddenly found herself in what looked like a bar. Mary glanced around her surroundings with confusion written all over her features. What was even more confusing to her was that everyone around her in the room seemed to be calm. Why wasn’t anyone else concerned that they were not on the plane?
“What the hell?” Mary muttered as she continued to look around, hiking her carry on bag higher on her shoulder. She moved towards the door of the bar. She had to figure out where she was and what was going on or a phone so she could call her brother.

"Oh, hey, sorry," he says as he attempts to side step around the person he almost runs into.
As his eyes come up to that face of the person he comes to a complete stop for a moment to stare. Mary? No, it can't be! When realization sets in he internally swears and then can't seem to get the words out fast enough.
"Mary?! Is that really you? What are you doing here?! What the hell happened? Why do you look banged up? Are you okay?"
Grabbing her by the elbow he spins her around and heads to the nearest table, indicating for her to sit. There's a ball of panic forming in his stomach. First Danny, then Grace and now Mary... He really doesn't like what is happening here, but the worry over his sister's arrival condition takes precedent. It looks like she's already been patched up but he's not willing to take that chance.
"Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?"

"Don't worry about it." Mary waves the apology off, not taking the opportunity to look at the man in front of her but instead she tries to side step around him so that she could continue on her search of answers.
When she heard the man say her name and a whole slew of questions, Mary finally looked up to the taller man and she was as equally surprised to see that the man she almost ran into was her brother. "Steve? But....how?" Mary stood, confused. "Wait? What am I doing here? What are you doing here? I don't even know where HERE is!"
Mary had about one hundred more questions for her brother but before she could ask them, Steve had grabbed her elbow and spun her around and guided to the nearest table where she sat down when he indicated for her to do so. Dropping her carry on bag on the floor, Mary looked up at her brother who now towered over her and apparently missed the memo on personal space.
Mary waved off Steve's concerns about her condition. Yes, she was banged up but she was fine and her injuries were not that serious. "I'm fine. Don't worry about it." Mary was fairly certain her brother would drag her to one anyways despite the fact that she will insist she's fine.
"Where are we Steve? I swear I got on the plane! But when I boarded....I was here, wherever here is." Mary looked her brother over. While she was confused and had a million questions, she was happy to have a familiar face with her. "Are you okay?"

Pleased to see Mary sit, Steve dropped to one knee in front of her so he could look into her eyes as he assessed how injured she might be. He could see the bandage over her eye and her wrapped wrist but he wondered about the areas he couldn't see. Her eyes were clear though, and if those two bandages were anything to go by it seemed she'd already received some sort of medical attention.
"Are you sure you're okay, Mary? Feel dizzy? Does it hurt anywhere?" Steve was her big brother, of course he was concerned.
"You got on the plane..." Steve frowned. Searching her face, his frown grew. "From right after you were kidnapped? After you were looking into Dad's box?"

Mary watched as he dropped to one knee and she allowed him to assess her injuries. There wasn't any sense in fighting it. She shook her head as he asked if she felt dizzy. "I'm fine, Steve. I promise. I'm not dizzy but you'll be the first one to know if that changes." She glanced to her bandaged wrist when he asked if it hurts anywhere. This was a question that she didn't know how to answer. Her wrist hurt. She sported a nice bruise on her ribs which hurt when she breathed deeply. Her head throbbed a bit under the bandage and also her cheek which sported a nice deep bruise but she didn't want to tell Steve that anything hurt because he'd likely go all protective big brother on her. "If I wasn't fine, Steve, you wouldn't have cleared me to fly back to the mainland." She could take a page from her brother's book and dodge questions. Whether he let it go, was another story. She just hoped he avoided touching her injured hand as she was sure she wouldn't be able to hide the wince, which would give her away.
Mary watched as her brother's frown grew and she nodded, her eyes dropping to her hands in her lap. "Yeah. You sent me back to the mainland as you thought it wasn't safe for me to stay on O'ahu. But hey, at least you kept your promise that we'd see each other again!" She attempted a smile.
Her brow furrowed after a few moments. "Wait. Why do you sound surprised? Didn't you just leave the airport?"

"No, Mary..." Taking a deep breath he let it out slowly while he looked out one of the windows in Ten Forward, not really seeing the open space beyond. He looked back to her, catching her eye and holding it. "It's not easy to explain, but that was almost a year and a half ago for me. I've been here for a few months now, but even before that..."
Trying to see how she handled that bit of news he quickly decided to explain it all. Like pulling off a band-aid it was better to do it all at once then little by little.
"So uh..." Frowning, this never seemed to get easier. "In a nut shell... There is an entity... er, alien, named Q, who is powerful enough to take people from other worlds and other times and has been bringing them here. You're from 2010... and I'm from 2012. Grace and Danny are here as well."
Raising an eyebrow he looks unsure, but he's really just preparing himself for her response.
