Alec is not at all confused or surprised as to the fact that he's on a space ship 'illions 1 of light years from where he was a moment ago. Mostly because this sort of thing happens to him on a regular basis. Half the time when he wakes up in the morning he's not sure if he's where he was when he went to sleep. It really makes waking up far more interesting than it really should be.2. True to course, Alec does whatever it is he does when he's somewhere new, which is to meander around with no particular destination in mind and just try and open doors and see if there's anyone interesting to talk to. And wait for someone to yell at him that he's not supposed to be there, why the hell are you touching that, didn't you see the sign that says no entry, how did you even unlock that etc...
Because that's the best way to meet people: wander around, poke at stuff and say things like, "Hi. So, whatcha doing?" to random people.
1. 'illions being an unknown number that probably ends in illion such as million, billion, trillion etc. ↩
2. Especially if there's someone else in the bed with him and it's not the person he went to sleep with... ↩
