Where am I now?

This certainly was a surprise to the sphere hunter. She had been working in a city she thought she would be trapped in forever but when she blinked she was suddenly standing in a bar. Not just any bar either, she was in space. It was a place that she ad only heard about from stories and she never thought that she would be able to see it first hand. Her hope flared as she looked out the windows. This might be a way to finally find her way home.

She walked over to the nearest person, trying her best to stay calm. Her strides were confident and her expression pleasant. She thought about getting a drink but decided there was something else she needed to do first, someone she needed to find.

"Excuse me but do you know where I am?" She paused a moment before continuing. "Wait, on second thought, I think I might have a better question than that. I'm looking for someone..."

After deciding that she was here for the time being, Yuna began to explore the allotted corridors. She certainly looked like a tourist. As she walked she would stop, stare and then gape at the things that were unfamiliar to her. Spira had some technology but nothing like this, even her air ship couldn't compare.

"I believe it already is," Billy answered her, watching the countryside dissolve into the shining metropolis as described by Yuna. They were now standing on a sort-of dock, water arching above and shimmering below. Everything had an otherworldly glow, and Billy couldn't help but gape at it.

"It's amazing. Did you live in a place like this, Yuna?"

"You were told in a history class?" Billy had to ask. Because she seemed to have a strong attachment to the place for only knowing it secondhand.

Well..if Billy had heard about a city like this, he probably would've remembered it too. It seemed like a technological paradise.

"You met someone from a thousand years before you?" Billy was impressed. Now that was something. "I thought your home wasn't all that technologically advanced. Where'd you find a time traveler?"

"He died, and he couldn't move on until a summoner allowed it. Got it." Or at least Billy thought he did. "So you had some spare time to catch up?"

He was picturing a scholar from this ancient past...certainly nowhere near the truth.

"You're...a summoner?" That was strange. She certainly didn't look like the summoners from stories, but maybe they were simplified stereotypes. He smiled. "Sounds like the spiritual world is a lot more active there than what I'm used to. Is it tough?"

"I'm from a planet called Earth. Many of us are, it seems to be a common link with many universes," he mused aloud, glancing at his hands. "Our society was on the brink of some amazing new technology, but it didn't look as amazing as this."

No, nothing could quite match Zanarkand. "Magic wasn't really part of our world until about a year ago. We faced a hostile invasion from a sorceress, and I was among the group chosen to fight her."

He shrugged nonchalantly. There really was no point in keeping his mask a secret anymore.

"We have more than enough conflict," he agreed with a quick nod. "But nothing that prepared me for this."

He considered her offer and nodded, quick to offer his hand. "Then that settles it. I'll gladly train with you, in the hopes that the next mission has a better ending."
