Where am I now?
This certainly was a surprise to the sphere hunter. She had been working in a city she thought she would be trapped in forever but when she blinked she was suddenly standing in a bar. Not just any bar either, she was in space. It was a place that she ad only heard about from stories and she never thought that she would be able to see it first hand. Her hope flared as she looked out the windows. This might be a way to finally find her way home.
She walked over to the nearest person, trying her best to stay calm. Her strides were confident and her expression pleasant. She thought about getting a drink but decided there was something else she needed to do first, someone she needed to find.
"Excuse me but do you know where I am?" She paused a moment before continuing. "Wait, on second thought, I think I might have a better question than that. I'm looking for someone..."

After deciding that she was here for the time being, Yuna began to explore the allotted corridors. She certainly looked like a tourist. As she walked she would stop, stare and then gape at the things that were unfamiliar to her. Spira had some technology but nothing like this, even her air ship couldn't compare.

"I'm not. Federation, that is," he clarifies. For whatever it's worth. She's known him before, so she probably figured that out on her own, but he's a different Steve in a ... really different world. "Most of the people who have been brought aboard aren't."
No one's going to hold out a clipboard and ask her to sign up. At least, no one has yet. Steve is still trying to figure them all out.
His eyebrows jump up his forehead. "There are monsters where you come from? Like wild animals?"

"Yeah. It's what I am used too. It's.. well the reason why is a little.." She wasn't sure what word to say. It wasn't complicated but it was certainly unsettling. Yuna was used to mix reactions when talking about her world and her duties in it. The Steve that she knew had accepted her oddities but would he again?

It isn't that he doesn't think a girl as fair as Yuna could protect herself. He's known more than his fair share of tough gals and single mothers, fighters and war heroes. Still, it irks his sense of justice to think about her living in that kind of environment, where fighting monsters is the norm.
"Yeah?" he prompts gently, just so she knows he's listening.

Another breath. "Where I'm from there are these monsters know as fiends. They are the spirits of people who have died and weren't sent. Those spirits envy the living and that envy turns to hate. It is the summoners duty to guide the spirits of the dead to the Farplain."
The truth was that fiends were everywhere in her world and though they have tried to save the souls inside they don't really know how.

He beetles his brow, looking intensely thoughtful. "And these summoners ... you're one of them?"

She rested her chin in her palms letting out a long sigh. "It's sort of hard to explain things in my world. I'm so used to it while others aren't I always feel like I leave something out."
