If you see a bear. That's mine.
"Come back here!"
Yuna was running down the hall after a brown ball of fuzz running in front of her. She had changed back into her gunner outfit after the mishap. It was much easier to chase after the young bear in short shorts than it was in a floor length dress. Her feet lightly kissed the ground as she flew forward her eyes locked on the bounding bear.
She hoped that someone would stop him. He wasn't a bad little bear and he usually listened to her but this time he had gotten a little to excited. She could hear his claws click on the hard floor and she really hopes whomever he runs into likes heavy fuzzy creatures licking their faces.
"Daigoro!" Calling it's name did nothing and Yuna's heart sank as her bear turned into the lounge.

Yuna sighed softly and then finally lowered herself completely to the ground petting the bear as she spoke.

He saw the sad look in her eyes at the thought of her not being able to stay with her bear friend and wanted to at least offer her a slight suggestion that might be helpful.

She looked down at the bear as if he could understand every word that she said.

"I suppose you should also ask your roommate too," he said. "Unless you're lucky enough not to have one."
While he understands the necessity of roommates, it doesn't mean that Alec has to like the idea. He spent most of his life without a roommate - only sharing a room with his twin sister when they were in the nursery. Then he got his own room.

Yuna hadn't see her roommate except in passing having had a weird schedule when it came to sleep. Mostly because it wasn't something that Yuna didn't often. She looked very nervous about the idea of approaching her roommate about her bear. Maybe she could keep him somewhere else? She hadn't seen many other pets on board though.

Hesitantly, Alec reached out to pet the bear. "But he's intelligent right? And doesn't attack people?"
no subject
Her world was filled with war and so it was common to have animal companions who were used to fight.

Yuna clarified with a smile.

"What do you mean,not yourself?"

"I sometimes get possessed by alternate reality versions of myself. So it's me... but not me at the same time. You know?"
no subject
"Is it scary when that happens?"
no subject
I've been doing it so long that it's not really scary any more... just a thing that happens. Like rolling out of bed."
There are a few worlds and a few lives that do still give him nightmares but he healthily deals with it by completely suppressing the memories most of the time.

At least so he didn't do anything bad.

Alec twists his head for a moment as if pushing a thought (or more likely a self) a way before saying, "Eh. He's not so bad. More of an arrogant ass than anything else. Kinda like Q but..." he pauses trying to find a word, "Crabbier at times..."
"What about you? With your body sharing? If you don't mind my asking."
no subject
"I don't mind. It was a side effect of my dresspheres. Len was a summoner and songstress from a thousand years ago. She had been caught up in a war and yet an imprint of her soul remained in the sphere I carry because of there dresspheres she was able to enter my body and at times control it. I was usually present and until recently I didn't know what was going on."
It was a long story but she hoped that made sense.
no subject
He hadn't.
Yay new things!

"Maybe I should start from the beginning. Sphere's grow on my world. They are pure magic and they sort of look like water even though they are a solid. They are able to record sights and sounds among other things. Some spheres have special properties and the souls of the dead connect with them. It's those spheres I can use in my garment grid."

Alec's eyes gleamed eagerly at hearing those words. That's something he would love to have. He rarely got stuff like that. Or got to see it. Still, he needed to know a bit more...
"Garment grids are?"
no subject
Yuna held out her palm and focused on the energy around them gathering magic within her palm. It was dark with streaks of purple and blue shooting through it. After a moment it was gone, dissipated back into the air around them.

Shiny.
Do want.
Do waaaaaaant.
"Can I touch it? What's it feel like? Does it always look like that or does it change depending on what you want it to do?"
no subject
She shifted slightly careful not to wake the sleeping bear and pulled out a bright orange softly glowing orb. The surface shifted like water as she handed it over to Alec. "This is a sphere and yes, you can hold it but I need it back. That one has something on it."
no subject
Could he see what it was?
He held it up to eye level, running his hands over it, feeling the texture, trying to get a feel of its very existence. What made it. How did it exist within reality? How the strings of life and reality twist to create it?
If he could figure that out, he could replicate it.
It'd take some work, of course. His powers weren't perfect in that regard, but ... still...
"How do you ... turn it on? Would you be the only one who can do that? Or anyone who can use a sphere turn it on?"
no subject
The sphere was grown over time and holds the power of the planet. It's life and energy is connected to the planet and it is also connected to Yuna.
