Mack Gerhardt didn't do downtime well.

He could feel the restlessness creeping into his mind, the irritability itching away. This wasn't exactly the time to go stir crazy over the people here, and Mack, showing remarkable self-clarity, had decided to do something about it.

Contacting the security personnel on his floor, he put in a request for a phaser, low power, could do nothing but, at worst, stun people... and that's only if Mack tampers with it. Why? To use on the phaser range, of course. He'd tried hunting on the holodeck, but it wasn't the same. Everything seemed real, but there was always that sense of fakeness in the back of his head.

And that didn't help stop the restlessness.

So, he's stood there, weapon in hand, in the blue segment of the arena, ready to start. There's a security officer at the door, but he won't stop people going in. It's mostly to make sure the phaser gets returned at the end of Mack's session.

There is, of course, space for one more player.

Now, Goofy liked to figure that he was good with electronics. He tended to, somehow, fix anything that broken in his home after all! Or he called for help. Either way, he loved to tinker if he could. But this replicator thing... this was definitely something new! And strange. Very, very strange.

Where was Max when you needed him? Or even, Sylvia! She would figure this out no problem. He missed the both of them, but he had to stay strong. He would see them again. He knew he would. So, for now, food. After a moment of scratching his chin, humming as he looked at the machine quite sternly, a lightbulb went off and he had an idea!

Goofy pressed all the buttons, because why not? It was the best way to figure anything out, he always thought.

It was about five minutes later that Goofy had a problem.

"...uh-oh."

That was a lot of hot fudge sundaes! He couldn't eat them all. Again, Goofy scratched his chin and hummed in thought. Lightbulb!!

Ten Forward would find a table full of hot fudge sundaes all neatly placed on about two tables pulled together. There was a sign, clearly written in marker, that said "HOT FUDGE SUNDAES. 25 cents FREE!"

Goofy realized shortly after writing the sign that no one would have a quarter handy. They were in a spaceship with aliens, after all! Besides, ice cream was always good, no use in charging them. He said behind the two tables, eating one of them already. "A-hyuk! Just as tasty as back home, oh boy!"

"Come back here!"

Yuna was running down the hall after a brown ball of fuzz running in front of her. She had changed back into her gunner outfit after the mishap. It was much easier to chase after the young bear in short shorts than it was in a floor length dress. Her feet lightly kissed the ground as she flew forward her eyes locked on the bounding bear.

She hoped that someone would stop him. He wasn't a bad little bear and he usually listened to her but this time he had gotten a little to excited. She could hear his claws click on the hard floor and she really hopes whomever he runs into likes heavy fuzzy creatures licking their faces.

"Daigoro!" Calling it's name did nothing and Yuna's heart sank as her bear turned into the lounge.

It's not that boredom is a new concept. You don't live ten thousand-plus years without ever getting bored. It's not even that he hasn't been idle in recent times. But, after war and strife, imprisonment, plotting and planning and scheming, more imprisonment, and then struggling not to starve to death, it's almost as if the old Wraith has forgotten how to deal with boredom. Hence signing up to help out in the sickbay. They have gotten familiar enough with him in the medical lab these last few months anyway, so why not? But, there's hardly a shortage of medical personnel on board, so that doesn't take up much time at all.

There are other things to do, of course. The holo deck, the gymnasium, the arboretum... The list is long. And yet, he again finds himself in the lounge, watching people as they go about their business. He misses his hive. Without the constant mental background noise of his crew, his mind feels far too silent. With the time he's spent in one cell or other, loneliness isn't foreign either. At least here he has more than concrete walls and rusty steel bars, even if he would prefer not to be trapped here. He's not one of those who adapts easily to life there on the Enterprise.

It's still early in what could be considered the evening. Tables are filling up with passengers and off-duty personnel meeting over food and drink. He's at a table off to the side, alone as is his usual habit. But, he won't protest if someone claims the seat across the table from him. It's just that kind of an evening.

Ahim had been quite curious about what she could create in the holodeck for a while. She had considered several different things, but the palace on Famille and the main deck of the Galleon were safest within her memories. Instead, she directed the computer to recreate a neighborhood in Tokyo where her favorite grocery store was. When the computer requested a season, she chose winter. It was a lovely city in the snow. She smiled remembering how excited Don had been to see the produce prices on Earth. The tea there was quite nice as well. And so many different kinds!

Andros was fidgeting in his quarters. Usually at times like this he would pullout the recording of Karone's kidnapping, and torture himself by watching it. But Andros wasn't sure when his roommate was going to come back and Steve was enough like a ranger that he might want to talk about it. And no, Andros did not want to talk about it.  At least without some poking and prodding. And a life size replica of Darkonda to through darts at. Could make a good game.

Too bad he couldn't mute his human friends like he could DECA. He brought his wrist up to signal the others, before bringing it down again. Official Ranger business could wait. Training could wait. It wasn't like there was an emergency here that only the rangers could handle. As much as he hated it, they had time to learn each other's strengths and weaknesses. They were probably off having fun. Being social.   Andros himself was studying a chart of  the nearby solar systems, planets and the cultures therein. The idea of a Federation or coalition was interesting, but it wasn't one that would carry over easily into his own universe. That's why there were Rangers. That was there Federation, in a way.

If they ever got back. But here? Here was there really a reason for him to be? Were Rangers needed? With that thought, Andros pried open his locket and took out the disc hidden there.

Marika Kato, still in her full pirating outfit, arrives mid jaw cracking yawn in a distinctive flash of light.

Then she blinks three times and works her jaw once.

"I'm going to need my quarters back," she announces, "And the rest of my ship and crew while we're at it."

What ever it might have been a moment before, no matter how young or how sleepy, that's the voice of someone who is wide awake now and used to having orders obeyed.

There had been many things Lieutenant Worf envisioned for himself upon his promotion to Chief of Security. Herding humanoid interlopers into organized groups and assigning them permanent residence aboard the Enterprise was, to say the least, not among them. After regrouping from their time at Alemar III, Dr. Crusher's medical team has cleared a number of new visitors for ship-wide access, which means it falls upon Worf's shoulders to assign them quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. He has gathered everyone in Ten Forward to impart this vital information.

As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared:

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.

"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.

"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.

"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

"I will remain here to answer questions," Worf concludes. "And my team will be standing by to escort you where you need to be."

The list is also displayed on a PADD, where people can refer to it if they need to.

[ooc: Open log for building CR with new roommates and meeting neighbors, "party post" style! Rooms are aligned the way they would be in a typical hotel: odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right (so 0711 and 0713 will be next door neighbors, while 0712 is directly across the hall). There is a post in the OOC comm where players can connect with questions, and where we'll post more details about the rooms themselves, so check in over there. If you need to ask security questions, or need them to swing by another thread, just put "Security officer, please!" in the subject line of your tag, and the mods will send someone to you ASAP.]

Oblivious to anything that had gone on on Alemar III, a princess has arrived in the lounge known as Ten Forward. However, in appearance, she is not your average princess. Clad in all black and pink, she more closely resembles the Power Rangers this ship has gotten to know. But she's much different. There's notes of pirate in her costume, from the standing collar to the crossed swords to the peak on her helmet.

When she blinks in, she definitely appears ready for a fight. Saber raised as if to block an incoming strike, and pistol pointed toward the source of the strike under it. But she doesn't fire. She's quick to realize that she wasn't in the middle of the pack of Gormin anymore. She lowers both weapons to her sides. "I'm dreadfully sorry, I do beg your forgiveness," she offers quickly to the poor soul that just had a flintlock pistol pointed toward them. She gave them a quick bow.

She glanced around to better take in her new surroundings. This didn't look like anything Zangyak. There were far too many humans around, anyway. And there was no sign of the rest of her crew. Well, they'll probably be along to pick her up before too long. She had faith.
