The last thing
Jadzia expected after her wedding was to get whisked off somewhere. Well, no, she expected the Chief and Julian to play their part and "attack" the happy couple, but she definitely didn't expect to open her eyes after the first volley to find herself somewhere else entirely. She blinks warily. Usually, when this happens nothing good comes of it. Or, well, okay getting tossed back to the Kirk's timeline had been fun, even if they were trying to save him from a tribble-bomb. She could have done without getting stuck in 2024 though.
So here she is, walking the hallways cautiously. She's already asked the computer to tell her what ship this is and the answer was most definitely
not comforting. Eventually, she ends up in
Ten Forward, where she knows she'll find someone happy to give her answers. At least she'll be gathering attention very quickly with what she's wearing.
Little does she know her Klingon wedding dress might garner even
more attention than she expects.

His mind's kicked into gear now, though, an endless prattling at the back of his head--what about Ezri, oh bloody hell I hope she doesn't walk in right now...or Worf, how am I supposed to explain that, this is all complicated and difficult and why now.
He ignores it. He's good at that.
"It's been months, Jadzia. Erm. Not for you, obviously. But there's multiple timelines meeting here, and it's all going to get rather complicated rather quickly. Come on."
He tugs her back over towards the table he vacated in his enthusiasm, a bit preoccupied with his haywire thoughts, he goes to the replicator and gets her a raktajino.
"Short version first: Q." That's about enough of a beginning to be getting on with.

Finally.
"Just how complicated are we talking?" she asks, before his answer actually sinks in. "Wait Q is responsible? What did he do this time, take all of us back in time? I've already figured out that we're on the wrong Enterprise and in the wrong time, but what's actually going on?"

He makes small stacking motions with his hands, unable to will himself into sitting still.
"Of course, Worf and the Chief are here--but they're the past versions of themselves, obviously, so neither of them recall anything on DS9. Worf was briefly switched with himself from a timeline contemporaneous to ours, but he's since been switched back and doesn't seem to recall any of it."

Well, it hurts like a bat'leth to the stomach. With less blood.
Leaning over the table, she rests her elbows on it and her head in her hands, looking a little more miserable than confused for a moment. "That's a wonderful wedding present. My husband won't even know me."
Thanks, Q.
"Anything else I should know?"

"You've been here before. It was for a very short time, and you were before me in the timeline. There may be some people around that remember you from that time. But it's been a year, so I'm not sure how many that will be."
He should tell her something about Ezri. He knows he should. He just simply does not know how to broach the subject, doesn't want to come near it with a barge pole.
"Garak's here. Dukat was, he's been gone for some time. Ziyal was..." He shakes his head, not sure at all how that turned out. He can't know, he supposes, until he gets back to their own time. If even then. "People have come and gone...it seems everyone but Kira and Captain Sisko, sometimes--even then, the Kira from the mirror universe was here too. I've almost lost track." Which is something of a joke. She knows as well as he does that isn't possible for him.

"I guess I'll just have to adapt. I'm good at that by now." At least Julian is someone she won't have to hide Dax around. He will be able to understand her and every hint she drops about her symbiont.
With each new name, Jadzia's eyebrows climb further up her forehead until she eventually sits upright again, staring at Julian in surprise and confusion. She does know that he's kept perfect record of everyone here. Someday that isn't her first day here, she'll have to pick his brain about all of that.
"Please tell me she's gone. We do not need mirrors of people here."
Or at least, Jadzia doesn't want to deal with that right now. Enough is enough already.
"Anything else?"
She does want to know as much as possible, but wow this is a whole lot to deal with.

The 'anything else' should prompt him to tell her about Ezri. But he doesn't quite know how, and should he warn her first? Probably. He hadn't considered before how to handle this eventuality, which really...was a glaring oversight on his part.
As gifted a mind as Julian has, he doesn't always know how to deal with other people who don't think like he does.
"It's been rather quiet, all things considered."
So he doesn't say anything. He'll find Ezri first.

"I think I need to find a quiet corner and digest the fact that the artificial gravity in here feels different from Deep Space Nine." It doesn't, not really. But the analogy of getting used to being somewhere new still stands. "Also to find a room and something else to wear."
