Eleven saw Clara's name on the rooming list during the holiday party, and he found it odd that he hadn't seen her as of yet. Maybe she was spending time with one of the other hims, and he planned on ignoring those feelings of jealousy that swelled up in his stomach thinking about that.

So, since everyone winds up in Ten Forward at some point or other, that's where the Doctor planned on spending the foreseeable future. Eventually, Clara would appear, or Amy, or maybe someone else that he hadn't talked to just yet.

Eleven sat at a table near the window eating his favorite food, fish fingers and custard, something he assumed someone would question him on. Maybe. Eventually.

"Bit of an odd specific combination." Though mixing sweet and savory certainly had merit. There were a lot of meals that did that. "Not sure there's much of a market for it."

Eleven shrugged, "Everyone who's tried it likes it."

Granted, there weren't a lot of people who actually had tried it. But Amy and Rory didn't seem to mind the few times he made it while staying with them. River didn't exactly count, since she didn't try it, just refused based on principle.

"There's plenty if you'd like to try it."

"Well if you've tested it." Hard to argue with that. Even though it seems like a very strange combination.

Only one way to be really true. She takes a small fish finger and dips it into the custard. "Ferengi mostly eat insects."

"Is it better than insects?"

He would imagine it is. Though he had a few tasty ones over the course of his lives, and really chocolate made everything better.
