unexpected arrival
While being a space ranger had gotten Ashley used to some pretty fantastic things, suddenly blinking into existence in the middle of a strange hallway on a ship that definitely wasn't the Astro Megaship was enough to throw her for a loop. She stood carefully still for a long moment, like it was a weird vision she was expecting to pass, but when she heard people coming she panicked a little, and ducked down an adjacent hall, pressing herself up against the wall to keep from being seen.
The strangers passed by, engrossed in the conversation they were having, and while they didn't sound particularly evil, she erred on the side of caution, for the moment. After all, she was suddenly an intruder on their ship, and she knew that if they'd found someone randomly appearing on the Megaship they wouldn't be immediately sat down for milk and cookies, more like an interrogation. Then probably milk and cookies.
Biting her lip she looked around and listened until the coast was clear, and then she brought her communicator up, wincing a little at the activation beep and how loud it seemed.
"This is Ashley. Can anyone hear me? I'm not... sure where I am, right now."

"Ash?" He asked quizzically. Andros paused. Was the communicator suddenly connecting back to their dimension or was she actually on the ship? No, she didn't know where she was, she had to be somewhere on the Enterprise.
"Do you know what deck you're on? What's nearby? I'll come and get you." And then explain. He still wasn't comfortable using the communicators here. The Enterprise's systems could probably pick up communications, and he'd figured out the badges on the crew's chest was definitely a kind of comm device. Maybe they used it as a two way listening device, to spy on their 'guests'.
Andros didn't think so, but he didn't rule it out. Captain Picard might be trustworthy, but that didn't mean everyone under his command was. There were bound to be rogue elements.
So, Andros just said, "I'll explain when I get there."

"I'm in a corridor, hang on." she headed back to where she'd ducked away from the people walking past, and followed the path they would have taken, pausing once she found something that more or less identified where she was. "There's a door ahead, it says Arboretum."

At least she knew him. What if she had been taken from before they had met, back when she had the Turbo powers? That would have been awkward to say the least. Still, there was no knowing when she had come from, time wise. If they were still fighting the Psycho's Ash would be very confused. Not to mention scared, paranoid and probably hurt.
After a few minutes, Andros came running along the corridor to her. "Ashley!" He had changed into civilian clothes, his uniform a little dirty after the excursion to Alemar III.

When she saw Andros she couldn't help the smile that broke out across her face. "Andros!" She moved to meet him, not stopping until she'd thrown her arms around his shoulders and hugged him tightly. "I'm so glad to see you. You know where we are?"
no subject
Reluctantly, and realizing they were in the hallway, sheepishly withdrew his arms from her.
"We're in another universe--brought here by some multi-dimensional being. There are two other rangers here that I know of, Zordon's original earth rangers. Billy Cranston and Adam Park. I don't think they've been rangers that long." He'd been trying to work out a timeline but the legacy of Zordon's earth rangers was never exactly concrete information for him. He had more important things, like trying to save the universe.

At his explanation she furrowed her brow, tilting her head to the side as she tried to wrap her mind around that. "Wh- That can't be right. Billy and Adam... They were rangers before I was. Adam was the one who passed the black ranger powers on to Carlos."

Despite himself, Andros smiled. It was nice to have Ashley close again, it felt....nice.

"Sorry, hi. John Crichton," he says with a lazy salute. "You're on the Enterprise. Let me guess, you weren't trying to get here and now you're royally cheesed off at whoever skipped you across the universe?"
no subject
"Um.... Something like that," She responds after the initial shock has worn off, and she manages a shaky smile. "I'm Ashley. So, um. Enterprise? Is that Korovian?" Considering this guy looks human, and the people in the hall had probably also been human, that would make sense to her. The layout of the halls was a vague echo of the Megaship, though that could very well be a universal thing.

He sets his hands on his hips, and chews his lip in thought. "Korovian? Uh, no. Federation, which got its start on Earth, if that rings any bells."
She looks human, but John's learned that doesn't necessarily mean anything in space.
no subject
"Uh, I'm from Earth, and I've been in a NASADA shuttle. It wasn't terrible, but it was nowhere near this advanced." Not to mention she'd never heard of any kind of Federation.
ooc: jfc I'm sorry I never tagged this back! It got lost in my inbox. ;~;
He's just looking for a way home. "NASADA, though... what does that stand for? I'm an astronaut with IASA, myself. The International Aeronautics and Space Administration."
It hasn't yet occurred to him that none of this is going to make sense to Ashley, since she only just got here. He can be excitable at times.
