[Sickbay]: Round Twelve Scans and Vaccines

Although the alternate timeline's Dr. Crusher has done outstanding work helping to combat the virus that turned so many of the ship's passengers into children earlier in the month, it's still Dr. Julian Bashir acting as the interim CMO, with all the duties and responsibilities that entails.
At least now there's only the number of children there should be, with the medical and scientific staff having succeeded in returning all Q's victims to their correct age.
For those entering for the first time, no doubt you've been escorted here by the security team. You may be surprised to see that it's a fairly ordinary-looking hospital. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you might see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for the staff, they're all well-groomed and friendly — even the more unusual aliens.
There's nothing to worry about, the doctors just want to make sure you aren't carrying any viruses or are vulnerable to catching new diseases. Once you've been checked over — a quick scan from a tricorder and any necessary vaccines — you'll be free to go. Lollipops are optional.
"All right, step on in," one of them calls out as you enter. "Don't be afraid. It's just a scan and a hypospray, nothing to worry about."
[ooc: Sickbay is, as always, OTA and open for backtagging! For new characters: tagging isn't mandatory but IC going to sickbay is. If you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. Julian Bashir is acting as head of the medical staff for the time being, so if anyone needs to thread fallout from the kidplot or ask him questions, he will have a toplevel you can tag. For everyone else getting standard checkups, tag in specifying which doctor you would prefer in the subject line of your tag, otherwise one will leap on you as they are available. There is a post up in the OOC comm with more details about Sickbay and which doctors are on deck this month, if you have any questions.]
Any doctor
To any medic he appeared to be a normal human, albeit a well-dressed human with a great ass. A closer look would reveal that he was not ordinary. His longer canines and six nipples the only outward signs, but the tricorders would give his species as felis sapiens - a humanoid cat.
OOC: he'll wake up on his next tag

At least this time, as Simon bent over the recumbent form of his new patient, the scans confirmed what a visual inspection suggested: the man had simply been knocked out.
Some of the other readings, though ... those were unusual, to say the least. Simon frowned at the tricorder for a moment, but he had other things than the species of the man in front of him to focus on. He waved a hand, dismissing the nurse who was hurrying to assist him.
"He's been knocked out. He'll be fine when he comes around."
no subject
He opened his eyes properly and fixed them on the person he could smell was nearby. "What is this?"
no subject
"It's a medical facility. You were knocked out. I'm a doctor, you have any other injuries?"
Simon was holding a tricorder that in a few moments could answer that question, but speaking with the patient was important, as well.
no subject
He sat up and looked around, with a puzzled expression on his face. This whole place couldn't be a psiren's doing. But they weren't near any medical facilities. And some of these people smelled like monkeys. Some of them smelled like nothing he'd ever smelled before. None of it made any sense.
"Where's the monkey I was with?" Lister would be able to explain it.
