[Sickbay]: Round Twelve Scans and Vaccines

Although the alternate timeline's Dr. Crusher has done outstanding work helping to combat the virus that turned so many of the ship's passengers into children earlier in the month, it's still Dr. Julian Bashir acting as the interim CMO, with all the duties and responsibilities that entails.
At least now there's only the number of children there should be, with the medical and scientific staff having succeeded in returning all Q's victims to their correct age.
For those entering for the first time, no doubt you've been escorted here by the security team. You may be surprised to see that it's a fairly ordinary-looking hospital. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you might see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for the staff, they're all well-groomed and friendly — even the more unusual aliens.
There's nothing to worry about, the doctors just want to make sure you aren't carrying any viruses or are vulnerable to catching new diseases. Once you've been checked over — a quick scan from a tricorder and any necessary vaccines — you'll be free to go. Lollipops are optional.
"All right, step on in," one of them calls out as you enter. "Don't be afraid. It's just a scan and a hypospray, nothing to worry about."
[ooc: Sickbay is, as always, OTA and open for backtagging! For new characters: tagging isn't mandatory but IC going to sickbay is. If you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. Julian Bashir is acting as head of the medical staff for the time being, so if anyone needs to thread fallout from the kidplot or ask him questions, he will have a toplevel you can tag. For everyone else getting standard checkups, tag in specifying which doctor you would prefer in the subject line of your tag, otherwise one will leap on you as they are available. There is a post up in the OOC comm with more details about Sickbay and which doctors are on deck this month, if you have any questions.]
Todd the Wraith please!
(The doctors would likely find Minoru curiously fascinating as well. He was human, through and through, but his biological age didn't seem to match his chronological age. He claimed to be 42, but the tricorders read 32. And that wasn't the only peculiar thing about his body. He could do a few things that definitely weren't human.)

He looked at the man curiously for a moment. The doctor definitely wasn't human. But he looked very familiar... This dimensional traveler had actually encountered one of his kind before, perhaps even another him. (The universe is very much like a tree with infinite branches and infinite possibilities.)
"You're a... You're a..." he paused. It had been years since he pulled that alien man out of a crashed ship. "You're a Wraith!"
Minoru wasn't afraid, though. Far from it. He just kept right on grinning like he always did.

Since the man was familiar with Wraith, the first thought was that he came from Pegasus. He did not look like he belonged in the Atlantis expedition, but from one of the many inhabited planets was possible. However, even a loyal worshiper wouldn't approach with such enthusiasm. More caution and respect was the norm, and anyone not a worshiper would reek with fear. This man didn't, so who was he and where did he come from?
"How very astute of you," the Wraith replied, hiding his surprise with a rather unimpressed look. "You are a new arrival here for a scan and vaccination, yes?"
no subject
"I am." He smiled. "My name is Minoru. I'm a Snake Sage."

"You are aware that this title means nothing to me, yes?" But, with so many who came to The Enterprise having so many strange abilities, it was worth finding out more about.

If tricorders analyze the 'energy' of a person, so to speak, Minoru's would appear odd. Everything would be there, and everything would look human and healthy, but there would be something extra. Senjutsu chakra is not drawn from within the body, but rather, from the world itself. In full Sage Mode, that kind of reading would permiate his entire body, but he could activate it only partially if he wanted to. When it's not activated at all, the anomoly would be contained around the tattoo on the left side of his chest.
"You need a baseline to work from, right? Well, I kind of have two..."

"The main concern, however, is if you are carrying any contagions that you might pass on to the rest of the crew and passengers." So far, the tricorder wasn't picking up on anything. "Kindly change back." In case these strange energy readings were covering anything up.

He watched the Wraith scan him again, using that strange little box instead of chakra. But it seemed to have the same kind of exploratory function.
"You can tell all of that from that box?"
