Whitelighter office hours are now in session [open]
Chris had replicated a pen and padd of paper--it just felt weird to work on spells on a PADD and he couldn't afford distractions. Trying to help Trever last night hadn't gone well, but hopefully he'd show up today for their 'date' AKA the only way he could get the man to sit with him and brainstorm about how to break whatever magic had hold of him.
So, Chris was in Ten Forward, a couple of pieces of paper spread over the table, each containing a different spell or potion, or some combination of the two. He had a couple different spells and potions for sleeping, a spell to discourage a lover and remove gods from mortals that he had found in the Warren Book of Shadows. But he was still concerned with how any magic he did might react with the magic already working on Trever.
Chris bit his pen, and twirled it between his fingers, frustrated. Maybe he could find a leprechaun? They could use a little luck.

"Well, I'm taken, son, so I can't help you there," he joked. "Bob Fraser."
He thought about the odd phrase. 'Charge'. "You a probation officer, son?"

And it was Q. Any unfinished he had (which you could argue he did but in the who didn't kind of way) was certainly not in space hundreds of years after he died. Well, he could help Prim, he thought, but that's new business.
"What does 'kind of a guardian angel' mean?" he asked, genuinely interested.

Chris shrugged, moving aside some of the pieces of paper. "My father was a whitelighter--that's the guardian angel part. My mother was a witch. So, I'm sort of half and half. "
no subject
He shrugged. "I don't... you know, settle very well." That's really all the answer he had. Caroline understood it more than he ever did. Of course, she'd been dead longer.
"Well, I won't understand I know what that really means, son, but fair enough."
Sorry! This got buried in my inbox
I'm more offended by the number of 'son's in that last tag of mine orz

There's a limp in his right leg as he approaches the replicator, ordering something to eat, and coffee, and then making his way over to a chair and sinking down, groaning, extending his right leg to stretch the muscle out, eyes closing as he tries to relax it.
no subject
"Here, let me help." Chris paused, watching the man, before he reached over to try and help work his leg muscles, digging in with his fingers.
no subject
"Hey, hey! Woah." He tugs his leg away, wincing slightly. "The hell're you doin'"?
no subject
"Just relax." Chris answered, wondering if he was going to have to come out with the 'hey, i'm Chris, I'm your Whitelighter' or if he could just be kinda vague about it.

"I'm you're guardian angel." And then he put up his hands. "I'm not being flippant. Really. You're one of my charges. And no, I don't have a choice, no I can't just leave you alone. So, why don't you tell me what you did to your leg and then we can work on your 'i'm fine' issues."

But this guy is pinging Mack in all the wrong ways. He sits up, grunting.
"Pulled it in the holodeck." He says, "Parrises Squares, nothing serious."

A voice from behind Chris remarks, Capt. Will Decker stood there, looking over at the paper.
"Forgive me, I hope I'm not intruding."
He has a plate of food and a drink in his hands, and was looking for a place to sit down and eat when Chris caught his eye.

Chris moved the papers out of the way so the other man could sit and eat.

And Decker does sit. He's still in his uniform, as antiquated as it is. It doesn't feel right to be on a Federation vessel without one... Let alone the Enterprise.
"Captain Will Decker." He offers, holding out his hand once he's set his plates down. "A pleasure."

"Chris Halliwell. Nice to meet you. Been kidnapped long?"

A pause, he takes a sip of his drink.
"You're used to time travel?"

Bastard.
When he spots Chris he gives the guy a wave and a smile before getting a cup of tea and an order of toast and eggs. Once breakfast was got he came over to Chris and said - chipperly, "Good morning!"

Chris sorted through his papers, putting them in an order and different piles. "I have a couple different options for you." Chris headed right into it. He got the neurotic obsessiveness from his mother.
"I have a couple different sleeping spells and potions we could try. One of them might be able to override the magic you're already under. We could try to discourage the god, although, being a god we're probably not powerful enough. We could try to remove the god's influence over you. But I'm a little hesitant not knowing how my magic would interact with magic from your world. We might want to do small tests first before we go head one. "
He took a deep breath.
"What I think you should try first is a spell to remember your past life, see things from her perspective. Have you ever tried that before?"
no subject
Trever and his other relatives that went to university told him so.
"Also he's not here," Kale added, removing his gloves. He set them on the table before crumbling up his toast into his eggs. "Spells of that sort, as far as I know, work best with the actual individual involved. Might have to involve the Morrigan too, since she's the one in charge of my soul."
And Kale's not lying here - the consort also had a twin brother and both of them agreed to the reincarnation cycle. Kale just doesn't have any of the weird... side effects.
"Which past life? And no. It was really only a recent thing... maybe a few months or so since I found out."

For the very briefest of moments the bells start ringing and then they suddenly cut off as if deciding they'd rather be elsewhere than wherever they were just then.
"Have a stalker?" he asked.
