Bernie's Day Out

As much as Andrew does his best to keep Bernie entertained sometimes it just doesn't work out the way the young boy would like. Today is one of those days especially given that Andrew had been fighting off a slight head cold for the past few days. Bernie was feeling restless so the moment Andrew wasn't fully paying attention?

"BERNIE!" The dog is off! Racing past humans, and others, to go find something to do.

Somehow Bernie is fully capable of evading people. The dog is very good at running even if his owner isn't so today is a day in which Bernie intends to find all of the interesting things to sniff out.

Music soothes ... everyone?

Despite Alec's apparent comfortableness in such 'strange' environments as the Enterprise, he is still very much from a (comparatively) low tech society with lots of open air and greenery around. At times the dull grey corridors of the ship can be rather claustrophobic.

While some people might go to the holodeck to alleviate such feelings, the holographic illusions remain just that to him - his senses refusing to be tricked by them. He can't hear the world that the holodeck shows him and it makes it rather nauseating or dizzying at times.

The arboretum is as close to a real outside as he's going to get which is why he's decided to take a quiet break from reality - so to speak - inside of it. Sitting by the pond, he quietly strums an instrument that looks like a cross between an acoustic guitar and a lute. There's no apparent song he's currently playing but the water next to him seems to move in time with the melody.

Pirates of Klingon Space (open!)

 Chang looks both out of place and not on board this ship. He's still wearing his uniform, but this other crew wasn't exactly wearing regulation uniform either. He stalked the creaky boards with some kind of contentment: this wasn't a Klingon ship, but it was certainly more palatable than what was usually on offer. 

Particularly given they were about to engage an enemy. "Let us play this game," he grinned.
