Sure she had been plucked up out of Chicago in the middle of some damned important work by some alien with a cracked sense of humor. She felt that entitled her to a bit of righteous rage. She also felt that meant she could safely vent some of that rage in her usual work out forms.
Welcome to the future, Murphy. Where dojos are replaced by hologram room things and seven foot tall aliens were commonplace and ready to lend a hand in practice. She could take that in stride, hell after sparring with Valkyries and their chosen fallen she felt up to damn near anything. Fae Queens aside. Mab still made her shudder and not just from cold.
But when you go to hip throw an opponent their spine should not be fluid enough to slide out of it. Aliens were unknown variables and she hadn't been ready for that. She hadn't compensated for such a shift of weight and balance and wound up cracking the hell out of her right elbow and at least two of her ribs.
It wasn't an unknown pain, but it sure as hell was enough to sober her self pitying thoughts. She was here, so it was about damned time she found something productive to do with herself.
Right after she got her ribs tapes and elbow looked at.
Murphy checked the register and found a medic in an area she was familiar enough with to not get lost in. Shortly there after she was hitting the chimes of Dr. Simon Tam, and wondered briefly is he was like the former staff nurse at the precinct. Nice little old Asian lady with a whip of white hair and eyes so keen they could slide onions with a glance.
